CROONER CROSBY’S PRISON RECORD WIPED

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:05 am

Beloved singer/actor BING CROSBY spent 20 days in jail in 1929, but records of his prison time and the drink-driving arrest that put him behind bars no longer exist.
Crosby often joked about his jail stint but no one took him seriously.
Now, American tabloid The Globe has uncovered the truth about the incident in November 1929.
The publication claims the White Christmas star was arrested after crashing his car outside the Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Boulevard.
Crosby wasn’t a big star at the time and so the pre-Christmas controversy failed to make the headlines. He was sentenced to 60 days in prison but served only 20 days, according to the publication.
His court records later mysteriously disappeared. Fans only knew about Crosby’s jail time because he later spoke about it.
