THE SIMPSONS creator MATT GROENING has lavished praise on RICKY GERVAIS because he was a joy to work with.
The Extras star appeared in a cameo role on the hit animated series as well as penning an entire episode after Groening invited the British funnyman to lend his skills to the show.
He says, "I loved working with Ricky Gervais. He wrote his own episode and it made my life easier because I didn’t have to write it."
