FORD: ‘BLADE RUNNER WAS A NIGHTMARE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:26 pm

HARRISON FORD has branded his role playing a futuristic cop in Blade Runner "a f**king nightmare".
The actor admits he was initially attracted to the role as Rick Deckard in the 1982 movie, but was not keen on the voiceover narrations. Ford claims director Ridley Scott agreed to remove them for the script - but was disappointed when the spoken words made the film’s final cut.
He says, "When we started shooting it had been tacitly agreed that the version of the film that we had agreed upon was the version without voiceover narration.
"It was a f**king nightmare. I thought that the film had worked without the narration. But now I was stuck re-creating that narration. And I was obliged to do the voiceovers for people that did not represent the director’s interests."

RUSSELL CONVINCED HE HAS MISSED OUT ON KNIGHTHOOD

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:23 pm

British director KEN RUSSELL has given up hope of winning a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II, because he has made too many controversial films.
Russell has enjoyed a long and distinguished career in cinema, but is convinced his 1971 movie The Devils - which features nudity and satanism - has ruined his chances.
He says, "I think I was nearly offered a knighthood years ago when I was doing Women in Love and I was invited three times to the Palace to meet the Queen.
"She was very nice and we chatted. She seemed to know an awful lot about nude wrestling. I thought she was warming me up for a gong. Then I did The Devils and I think she went off me after that. I don’t think it will ever arrive now."

SHEEN BRANDS BUSH ‘UN-CHRISTIAN’ OVER DIXIE CHICKS FURORE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:23 pm

Actor MARTIN SHEEN has slammed President GEORGE W. BUSH’s behaviour towards the DIXIE CHICKS after they spoke out against him - branding his behaviour ‘un-Christian’.
The star has criticised America’s reaction to the 2003 incident, in which bandmember Natalie Maines said she was "ashamed the President of the United States was from Texas" - her native state; comments which led to a national boycott of the band’s music.
But Sheen believes President Bush should have dealt with the situation in a more impartial way.
He says, "I saw what happened to the Dixie Chicks.
"If George W. Bush were a true Christian, like he proclaims himself to be, you know what he would have done? He’d have invited them to his next barbeque to play and say ‘Hey, I love their music and whether or not I agree with them, I support their right to free speech.’ But instead he was a bully. And he enjoyed watching what happened to them … it gave him a sense of power and righteousness."

BONO IS A TECHNICAL MAGICIAN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:11 pm

U2 frontman BONO has a secret power - he can erase the memory from his friend’s mobile phones.
Razorlight frontman Johnny Borrell says he experiences a bizarre technical hitch soon after speaking to the Irish rocker on the phone.
He says, "Nobody has Bono in their contacts! Bono doesn’t have a number that can stick in contacts. The last time Bono phoned me, it wiped all my saved text messages out of my phone.
"It went ‘ching, ching, ching, ching’ like that - like a Pac-Man thing. He deleted all my text messages - it was amazing! "Maybe he was using Al Gore’s phone of some secret service stuff, but there was no way you could get the number to call him back because not only had the number gone but the whole call history had gone. I don’t think anyone’s got Bono’s number."
