Broadway is mourning one of its veterans following the death of actor LEO BURMESTER, who lost his battle with leukaemia, at the age of 63, on Thursday (28Jun06).
A regular in New York theatre hits like The Fantasticks, Urban Cowboy, The Civil War and Les Miserables, Burmester also enjoyed success as a character actor on the big screen.
His movie resume includes The Devil’s Advocate, Lone Star, The Last Temptation of Christ and Broadcast News.
Burmester also recorded an album of folk originals, Blue Horse, with his wife Lora Lee Ecobelli.
