BOMB THREAT CLOSES LONDON SHOWS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:05 am

A bomb threat in central London on Friday (29Jun07) forced the cancellation of several West End performances.
A Mamma Mia! matinee at the Prince of Wales Theatre and the evening performances of The Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre and The Last Confession at the Theatre Royal Haymarket were axed as police investigated a car bomb that had been left on the street.
A suspicious vehicle was reported parked in Haymarket early on Friday morning. An explosive device was discovered in the vehicle, and police worked to defuse the bomb after evacuating the area and sealing off several streets and underground stations.
