Veteran actor JON VOIGHT will be honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Montreal World Film Festival later this summer (07).
The Oscar-winning star of movies including Midnight Cowboy, Deliverance, Coming Home and Heat will collect the Special Grand Prix Of The Americas award during the Canadian event, which runs from 23 August to 3 September (07).
Voight will also premiere his new film, September Dawn, at the festival. The controversial movie recalls the infamous 1857 Mountain Meadows Massacre, when extremist Mormons attacked and killed 120 members of a Christian wagon train.
