ROWLING FIGHTS TO SAVE ELF

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:08 am

J.K. ROWLING fought to save an elf from being axed from HARRY POTTER AND THE ORDER OF THE PHOENIX - after movie bosses failed to realise he was such an important character.
Scenes featuring Kreacher, a house elf belonging to the boy wizard’s godfather Sirius Black, were due to be axed by director David Yates in the fifth installment of the fantasy franchise, and the author was forced to step in to intervene.
Yates says, "We took Kreacher out, and J.K. said, ‘Listen guys, you don’t have to put Kreacher back, but I’m just telling you, if you want to kind of keep a thread going for six (Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince) and seven (Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows), you might want Kreacher to come back.
"She basically told us Kreacher plays a role in seven."
