McCARTNEY’S DYING FAREWELL TO HARRISON
SIR PAUL McCARTNEY said an emotional final goodbye to his former BEATLES bandmate GEORGE HARRISON as he lay on his death bed.
McCartney held hands with Harrison before he lost his battle with cancer in 2001.
The rocker reveals, "With George, I got to see him a short time before he died. And it was just the best because we sat stroking hands.
"And this is a guy, you know, I had known since he was a little kid. You don’t stroke hands with guys like that. You know, it was just beautiful. We just spent a couple of hours and it was really lovely. It is a favourite memory."
