Horny music

Posted in: Bizzare Stories — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:22 pm

Chinese drivers - banned from honking their horns - have resorted to personalised ‘horn tones’ to express themselves.
Shanghai banned honking this month in an effort to combat street noise and so drivers have converted their horns to playing messages and music to make themselves heard on the roads.
At least one taxi driver has converted his to a recording of a woman saying, "Please mind the car, we are making a turn." Other horns play music.
Faced with fines of up to 200 yuan (£13) for using their old horns, drivers are spending up to 800 yuan (£53) on customised horns.
Police are yet to crack down on the personalised horns.
Police officers are banned from using their sirens in the area, except in cases of extreme emergency.
