Cash for titles

US parents have been using the services of baby-naming consultants to help them decide what to call their child.
Walker and Reyes of Las Vegas are a couple who offer "name consultations and workshops" at a rate of $50 a time to help parents choose what to call their baby.
Their services were last year employed by John and Shannon Bentham, who felt "enormous pressure" to find a strong-sounding boy name beginning with ‘J’.
Mrs Bentham said: "I wanted a name that would look good on a marquee or a political banner." Walker and Reyes produced an 11-page list of possibilities, including Jackson, which the Benthams eventually settled upon.
A California woman recently spent $500 for a numerologist to make sure the name she chose had "positive associations."
