BECKHAM AGREED TO SPICE GIRLS REUNION FOR HER KIDS
VICTORIA BECKHAM agreed to join the Spice Girls for a reunion tour because she wanted to show her three children the true meaning of girl power - in motherhood.
The singer, dubbed Posh Spice, joined former bandmates Melanie ‘Scary Spice’ Brown; Geri ‘Ginger Spice’ Halliwell; Emma ‘Baby Spice’ Bunton and Melanie ‘Sporty Spice’ Chisholm to announce details of their world tour on Thursday (28Jun07).
And Beckham reveals her sons Brooklyn, eight, Romeo, four, and two-year-old Cruz, were the key motivators behind her decision, before joking about her reputation as ‘Moody Spice’ for her constant pout.
She says, "One of the main reasons we want to do this is so our kids can see us performing. That’s what Girl Power is all about, being a mum. I might actually show a bit of emotion this time!" Brown quips, "You might even smile!" The Spice Girls’ reunion will see the group release a greatest hits compilation and embark on an 11-date tour taking in London, New York, Las Vegas, Hong Kong, Sydney, Madrid, Cologne and Beijing.
