ALLEN ARRESTED OVER PAPARAZZI ATTACK
British pop star LILY ALLEN has been arrested for kung-fu kicking a member of London’s paparazzi earlier this year (07).
The Smile singer allegedly beat up photographers outside a London nightclub on 12 March (07), kicking and punching at least two snappers.
On Thursday (28Jun07), she was formally arrested and questioned by police regarding the scuffle.
Photographer Kevin Rush said at the time of the alleged attack, "She went berserk." Allen was released on bail from the West End Central police station after providing officers with her fingerprints, a DNA sample and a photograph.
A spokesperson for London’s Metropolitan Police says, "A 21-year-old woman was arrested over an allegation of assault and released on bail to return in late July (07)."
