ALBARN TERRIFIED BY OPERA DEBUT
Former BLUR star DAMON ALBARN is so terrified by the debut performance of his self-penned opera, he’s been having nightmares about the opening night.
The singer, whose opera Monkey: A Journey To The West premieres in Manchester, England on Thursday (28Jun07), is worried the show will be a disaster.
And collaborator and Gorillaz bandmate Jamie Hewlett admits his pal is suffering from bad dreams about the opera’s first night.
He says, "Damon’s been having a nightmare about the premiere, where he comes on stage and stops the whole thing in its tracks and tells everyone to go home."
