OPERATION ON KING ALBERT II BRANDED A SUCCESS

Belgian KING ALBERT II’s emergency operation on Tuesday (26Jun07) has been branded a success.
The 73-year-old monarch underwent surgery after breaking his hip after falling at his north of Brussels residence.
Officials are hoping he will resume normal activities as soon as possible, but will remain in hospital for "several days."
