DOHERTY INVADED IGGY POP’S STAGE
PETE DOHERTY has confessed he joined a group of fans who stormed the stage during IGGY & THE STOOGE’s set at the Glastonbury Festival.
Midway through the band’s set at the English event on Saturday (23Jun07) around 200 revellers piled onto the stage. Doherty joined them and then began chatting with frontman Iggy Pop.
The rocker - who also performed at the Somerset festival - reveals, "I got up there, I was jumping about and all that. I said to him, I’m not being funny, but you’re a great lyricist Mr Pop.
"He said, ‘yeah man, I’ve heard some of your stuff, I’ve heard the Libertines, but I prefer Babyshambles.’"
