PEARLMAN ARRIVES ON U.S. SOIL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:02 pm

LATEST: Troubled boy band svengali LOU PEARLMAN has been transferred from Guam to the U.S. to face charges of bank fraud.
The 53-year-old, who created Backstreet Boys and ‘N Sync, was apprehended by the Federal Bureau Of Investigation (FBI) in Bali, Indonesia earlier this month (Jun07) after five months on the run.
The FBI brought Pearlman to the U.S. territory of Guam in the Pacific after he was expelled from Indonesia, whose authorities had dubbed him "an undesirable visitor".
Authorities confirmed Pearlman was moved from Guam to Los Angeles on Sunday (24Jun07), where he is expected to remain for several days before he can return to Florida.
Florida-based Deputy U.S. Marshal Eric Thompson says, "It won’t be in the next day or so. It’s going to take him several days to get here." A lawsuit filed in Florida alleges Pearlman manage to secure bank loans of $20 million (£10 million) using papers from a fictional accounting firm.
Pearlman’s assets have been liquidated through two bankruptcy cases against him, but he is yet to respond to any court actions.
