EXHAUSTED STAMOS BLAMES JET-LAG FOR SLEEPY PRESS CONFERENCE
ER star JOHN STAMOS has blamed jet-lag for his lacklustre performance at an Australian press conference over the weekend (23/24Jun07), during which he appeared drowsy and slurred his speech.
The U.S. TV star and former husband of X-Men actress Rebecca Romijn was Down Under promoting the medical drama when his travel sickness kicked in.
According to Australian TV reporter Stephen Downie, Stamos looked "bleary-eyed" and "was shabbily dressed", sporting no socks and appearing unstable on his feet.
Stamos was overheard telling conference organisers he had tried to boost his energy levels by drinking coffee, but a publicist insisted his jet-lag was too severe.
Stamos apologised for his tiredness, explaining, "I came from Greece, Cairo and Japan… and for whatever reason I am so jet-lagged here."
