AUSTRALIAN BIG BROTHER MAKERS APOLOGISE TO MEXICO

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:41 pm

Producers of reality TV show BIG BROTHER in Australia have issued an apology to the Mexican government for allowing contestants to deface the country’s flag.
Last week (ends15Jun07), viewers saw the show’s participants throwing goo-filled balloons at an incorrectly-coloured Mexican flag as part of theme night on the show - an action the Latin American country’s ruling body deemed "offensive".
The Mexican Embassy expressed its disgust at the incident aired as part of the show’s weekly themed Friday Night Live segment, and demanded the Australian Communications and Media Authority and TV company Endemol Southern Star "take adequate measures to avoid this type of incident in the future".
Endemol Southern Star has insisted its actions were not meant to cause offence to any person, country, or institution.
The company’s apology reads, "Friday Night Live is themed each week and June 19’s Mexican Night was designed as a tribute to Mexico and its vibrant cultural heritage," with the company assuring the Mexican government "something like this would never happen again." The flag used by the programme’s makers displayed the Mexican national symbol - an eagle devouring a snake on top of a cactus - in the middle but had the green, white and red bands of colour in the wrong order.

HACKER POSTS POTTER SPOILER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:35 pm

A computer hacker has vowed to shock HARRY POTTER fans - by posting the alleged ‘ending’ to the final installment of the boy wizard series online.
The anonymous book-leaker - known only as Gabriel - claims to have obtained a digital copy of Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows after breaking into a computer at Bloomsbury Publishing in London.
Posting on website InSecure.org, Gabriel writes, "We make this spoiler to make reading of the upcoming book useless and boring." A representative for Bloomsbury declined to comment on the alleged security breach, but Kyle Good, of the book’s U.S. distributor Scholastic, insists fans should be sceptical about the accuracy of the hacker’s ‘ending’ prior to the book’s official release on 21 July (07).
He says, "There is a whole lot of junk flying around. Consider this one more theory." In 2005, two people were charged after allegedly attempting to sell a leaked copy of sixth Harry Potter book, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, to British newspaper The Sun a month before its official release.

LEGEND DUMBFOUNDED BY LAZY STARS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:32 pm

R&B singer JOHN LEGEND is proud of his status as the hardest working man in music, and has branded musicians who don’t give 100 per cent "d**ks".
The Grammy award winner is famed for being a workaholic and is stunned by the lacklustre attitudes of performers who don’t share his work ethic.
He says, "It’s amazing to me, but when I talk to my label, they’re like, ‘Oh John, you work so hard!’ It always amazes me that I stand out among other artists for working hard. Shouldn’t everybody work hard? Why wouldn’t they work hard? "(I think) ‘You d**k - this is your shot!’ Ultimately, it’s your career. If you don’t seize the opportunity, it’s going to go away. A statement from the group reads, "It is with huge regret that Bullet For My Valentine announce that they will no longer be able to play." Writing from his bedside, Tuck explains, "If I’d known my tonsils were going to cause me to miss shows like these I’d have f**king ripped them out myself long ago.

Justin Timberlake has a lot in common with his ‘Shrek’ character.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:43 pm

Justin Timberlake has a lot in common with his ‘Shrek’ character. The singer-and-actor could relate to his animated character Artie in ‘Shrek the Third’ – because they are both "uncool" and hated school. Justin, 26, told Bliss magazine: "My character in the film is not cool. He’s a bright-eyed kid who’s been told his whole life he’s a loser, but he gets the opportunity to grow. "When I was a kid, I felt I didn’t fit in and didn’t enjoy school. That’s how I was able to play Artie because he doesn’t fit in that much. I was a good student, but school wasn’t awesome for me and I felt bored." ‘Shrek the Third’ is Justin’s debut role in an animated movie. The ‘SexyBack’ singer recently confessed he enjoyed making films, but has no intention to become a full-time film star. He said: "I don’t aspire to be a movie star – I get enough attention.
"I always wanted to act but I never really had the courage. I thought I wasn’t going to get the opportunity to do it the way I wanted to do it.’

Britney Spears has been warned she could die if she continues drinking, it has been reported.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:43 pm

The troubled singer - who has been attending Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meetings since leaving rehab - could have already irreparably damaged her kidneys.
John Sundahl, chairman of Britney’s AA chapter in Los Angeles, told the National Enquirer magazine: ‘I told her, ‘If you fall off the wagon, I don’t think you will live. If you don’t want to get sober for yourself, do it for your kids.’ ‘ Sundahl revealed Britney, 25, has fallen off the wagon several times since leaving Malibu’s Promises clinic two months ago, but insisted she was determined to get sober.
He added: ‘She truly wants to stop what she’s doing. She’s changed her life in another direction, where she doesn’t get drunk every night and pass out.’ The counsellor confessed he had not seen Britney for several weeks.
Earlier this month, while holidaying in Hawaii with her two children, Sean Preston, 21 months, and Jayden James, nine months, Britney reportedly got so drunk she passed out.
Last month, she was found ‘vomiting uncontrollably’ in the men’s toilets of a Los Angeles bar.
The singer, who was seen drinking at the exclusive Sky Bar at Los Angeles’ Mondrian hotel, allegedly needed to be carried out when she was discovered slumped over a toilet covered in sick.

John Travolta admits he has to work hard at his marriage.

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:43 pm

The ‘Hairspray’ star - who has two children, Jett, 14, and seven-year-old Ella with wife Kelly Preston - believes marriage is a life-long commitment and isn’t always easy.
John is quoted by Britain’s Daily Mail newspaper as saying: "We’ve been married for almost 16 years and we have to work at it. Most people forget that you have to create relationships. The allure of the first years settles down and at that moment, you better start creating it, otherwise you’re going to lose out." The 53-year-old says having a high-profile relationship is difficult because people are always gossiping.
He added: "You have to be ready to battle the worst insults, the worst innuendos. People say things that hurt. I think, ‘Wow, so because I have money or fame, I don’t have problems? I don’t have feelings?’ I just try not to take offence." John recently revealed he and Kelly are going to try for another baby and have set themselves a fertility timetable.
He said: ‘I was told by Kelly that at the end of the summer we’re going to try.’ Kelly, 44, added: ‘We’ll try after we finish the movie we’re doing together, ‘Old Dogs’, with Robin Williams and our daughter Ella. So after that!’
