LATEST: LILY ALLEN has blasted reports she confessed to being an alcoholic on her blog - insisting the media have made up the whole story.
It was recently reported that Allen had written on her MySpace page, claiming she was an alcoholic - however no message from the pop star was ever posted.
The Smile hitmaker says, "It never was on the Myspace blog. Someone made it up. We’ve been trying to trace it, because obviously, my publicist in England is really angry about it.
"I did an interview in Canada - I can’t remember what the TV program was called - and someone, like, a journalist or not a journalist … got a notepad out and wrote what he thought I said, and then called one of the tabloid journalists in London, and said, ‘Oh, Lily just said she was an alcoholic on the TV.’ "So they printed it, then said I had written it on my blog - because I do write things on my blog, but it was never there.
"It’s just another one of those lies."

HEATHER MILLS has appeared in court to give evidence against a British photographer who she claims assaulted her.
The estranged wife of Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney accuses snapper Jay Kaycappa, 31, of grabbing her shoulder in an attempt to take her photograph in a Brighton subway, England in July 2006.
The Dancing with the Stars performer told Brighton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (21Jun07) the incident left her feeling like "a trapped animal".
Prosecutor Dale Sullivan said: "Since Ms Mills-McCartney and her estranged husband announced their split it would appear that members of the press have followed Ms McCartney and waited near her home. "The crown say one particular photographer has been particularly persistent in following her around." Giving evidence, Mills told the court, "I panicked and thought I’ll go back the other way and that’s when I turned round and saw Mr Kaycappa. "I felt concerned… because I had one there and one there and I felt like a trapped animal so I turned into the wall to get on my phone." The freelance photographer, from Hampshire, denies the charge.

Hollywood star ANGELINA JOLIE has reportedly abandoned a conservation charity she set up in her adopted son MADDOX’s name.
The Tomb Raider star set up The Maddox Jolie Project (MJP) in a bid to “to protect and rehabilitate the wildlife, eco-system and watershed conservation values” in her adopted son’s homeland of Cambodia.
But according to TMZ.com, Jolie has stopped funding the project.
A source says, “Because of lack of funds the future of this project is uncertain.”

Hollywood star GEORGE CLOONEY has joined his Italian neighbours in their protest against town planners.
The Ocean’s Eleven actor, who owns a lakeside villa in the Italian town of Laglio, showed his community spirit by signing the petition against plans to build a pontoon bridge close to his villa.
Head of the Committee organising the petition, Manuela Nuti said, "We have more than 200 people in the committee and now we have a signature from George Clooney, which is worth another hundred."

Acting heavyweight ROBERT DeNIRO shocked a KGB agent by challenging him to a boxing match - and knocking the spy out in just three rounds.
The actor, who played a fighter in the 1980 movie Raging Bull, met with a group of Russian agents while researching for spy film The Good Shepherd. And they were eager to see if his boxing skills were real or just movie magic.
Former CIA agent Milt Bearden, who acted as a consultant on the spy movie, recalls, "One of the KGB guys asked Bob (Robert) if he could still box, and would he want to step in the ring.
"Bob agreed. And one of the other agents asked me ‘What do I think would happen?’ And I said that Bob would have the guy down by three (rounds), and that’s what happened."

Talk-show host JIMMY KIMMEL suffered a medical scare on Wednesday (20Jun07) when he was rushed to hospital for an emergency appendectomy.
The host of Jimmy Kimmel Live is "resting comfortably" after the operation to remove his appendix, according to his publicist Lewis Kay.

THE BLACK EYED PEAS frontman WILL.I.AM has teamed up with Hard Rock Hotel and Casino to create a new uniform collection for staff.
The rapper/producer, who has already launched his own high end clothing label, i.am Antik, has collaborated with design partner Lor-E Phillips to create the line.
Will.i.am, real name William James Adams Jr, says, "My goal was to create a look that exudes upscale rock ‘n roll, leveraging the essence of the brand while contemporizing the staff’s wardrobe to provide a more stylistic and fashion-forward appearance." Hard Rock will showcase the uniforms at the opening of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi, Mississippi on 7 July.

Grammy award-winning rappers SALT N’ PEPA are set to relaunch their careers with a reality TV show charting their rocky reunion.
The girl group - which featured rappers Salt, real name Cheryl James, and Pepa, real name, Sandra Denton - disbanded in 2002.

Gay folk singer RUFUS WAINWRIGHT feared he had contracted HIV when he was raped as a teenager.
The singer/songwriter was attacked by a man he picked up in a bar in London’s Hyde Park at the age of 14. He claims he survived the ordeal by pretending to have an epileptic fit.
And the 33-year-old was convinced he picked up the deadly virus.
He says, "I was pretty much convinced I was HIV positive. Every zit was Kaposi’s sarcoma. If I got a sore throat I had a year to live. I never got tested. But I didn’t get aids, which I might have otherwise, and I did end up writing songs."

Rocker NICK CAVE was delighted when he met BOB DYLAN at a music festival - but was embarrassed to find out they had nothing to say to each other.
The Into My Arms singer was playing at legendary English music festival Glastonbury in 1998, when Dylan came over to greet him.

Incarcerated socialite PARIS HILTON has been blasted by her neighbours for "treating her animals horribly".
Locals in her Beverly Hills neighbourhood claim Hilton is far from a pet fan - despite her professed love for tiny Chihuahua Tinkerbell.
Shelby Segall, Hilton’s neighbour, tells the New York Post, "She treats her animals horribly.
"They are always getting out and running around the neighbourhood. She had a little orange kitty about a year ago that kept getting out and we kept telling her it was outside. She didn’t seem like she cared, and then one day the cat got run over in the middle of the street and died.
"Not long after, little (Chihuahua) Tinkerbell came to my door and I left a note on her gate. Her assistant came over frantic and tried to offer me a $40 reward (£20). I said, ‘Don’t insult me." The star is currently serving time for violating probation on a 2006 drink driving charge at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California.
