UNFINISHED BOLAN SONGS COMPLETED BY TRIBUTE ACT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:27 pm

Late rocker MARC BOLAN’s unfinished songs will finally see the light of day after they were completed by one of his tribute acts.
In a deal to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the T-Rex’s frontman death in September 1977, the music star’s estate has agreed on a deal with tribute band Hot Love to turn unfinished 39 pieces of music into 15 songs.
Hot Love vocalist Alex ‘Midge’ Peebles has spent six months working on the tracks.
He says, "It was such a great honour, but at the same time it was really daunting. When I first heard the melodies, I was blown away. But they were only a couple of lines long. We needed to make an album. It was a lot of work." The Hot Love tracks will feature on forthcoming album (Jul07) 21st Century Stance.
Bolan was killed in a car accident in the British capital on 16 September 1977.
