Ringo Starr has signed a deal to release his solo material online.

The former Beatle’s catalogue - including hit albums ‘Beacoups of Blues’ and ‘Ringo’ - with record company Capitol/EMI will be available to download from August 28.
Fans will also be able to download six Starr ringtones.
A compilation album ‘Photograph: The Very Best of Ringo Starr’ is set to be released on CD, along with a limited edition CD/DVD package featuring a film and video clips.
Starr signed his first solo recording contract in 1970 with Capitol/EMI after The Beatles split. The agreement lasted until 1975.
Starr is set to release his new solo album ‘Liverpool 8′ next January.
Earlier this year, Starr’s former bandmate Sir Paul McCartney signed a deal with Apple to release his own solo back catalogue online.
