PFEIFFER TOLD TO KEEP NIGHTMARE MAKE-UP STORIES TO HERSELF

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:17 am

The producers of upcoming movie musical HAIRSPRAY spent months trying to keep stars JOHN TRAVOLTA and MICHELLE PFEIFFER apart on the set - because they didn’t want the actress’ make-up tales upsetting the cross-dressing Grease actor.
Travolta plays larger-than-life mum Edna Turnblad in the film, and spent all of his scenes sweating in a fat suit under layer upon layer of heavy make-up.
And when Pfeiffer told producers she felt sorry for her co-star after her own recent make-up mess, they begged her not to repeat her story to Travolta.
Producer CRAIG ZADAN explains, "She had just done this other movie where she played a witch, and she had a lot of prosthetics. And she said, ‘Oh my God, I got rashes…’ "I said, ‘Please don’t say anything, I beg you… If you walk in and tell John about your rashes and stuff we’re in really big trouble.’"
