BROADWAY DANCER/CHOREOGRAPHER THOMMIE WALSH DEAD

Beloved Broadway director and choreographer THOMMIE WALSH has lost his long battle with cancer.
Walsh started his career at the age of five as a dancer at New York’s Irma Baker School of Dance.
The former dancer/singer played Bobby in the original production of A Chorus Line in the mid-1970s and became known as the show’s historian, later co-writing a book about the spectacular.
But he’s best known as a choreographer for hits like The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, Nine and My Favorite Year.
Walsh received the Tony and Drama Desk Awards for his choreography in A Day in Hollywood/A Night in The Ukraine and My One and Only for which he also received a Tony Award nomination for best direction, according to BroadwayWorld.com.
