The 127-page souvenir brochure published for the Concert for Diana - which features a portrait of Diana shot by photographer Mario Testino on the cover - includes a heartfelt introduction jointly penned by William, 24 and Harry, 22.
It reads: ‘It is 10 years since our mother died, but her remarkable work, and her wonderful gift for touching the lives of so many people, live on. ‘This concert is our way of remembering her the way we knew her - full of fun and laughter, and full of a love for life. We know that if our mother was here today she’d be over the moon about how many people have given up their time to remember her, and that she’d be the first up out of her seat and dancing.’ The programme also features an article written by Diana’s brother Earl Spencer and her sisters Sarah McCorquodale and Jane Fellowes entitled ‘Diana our sister’.
The siblings describe Diana as ‘a golden girl taken from us when far too young’ in their toughing piece.
The concert takes place at Wembley Stadium on July 1, which would have been Diana’s 46th birthday. The event will include performances from Sir Elton John, Take That, Lily Allen, Kanye West and Will Young, as well as appearances from David Beckham and Kiefer Sutherland.
