MOORE FACES JAIL OVER CUBAN FILMING

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:41 pm

LATEST: Controversial documentary maker MICHAEL MOORE faces jail after breaking U.S. trade laws to make parts of his hard-hitting new film, SICKO, in Cuba.
Moore hired a boat and took a group of ill 9/11 rescue workers to Guantanamo Bay in the hope of getting them the same healthcare as Al Qaeda detainees, after learning they get free teeth cleaning, eye care and nutrition counselling.
The filmmaker and the rescue workers were turned away and instead found a doctor in Havana, Cuba willing to treat each one.
Moore shot footage of their Cuban healthcare encounter for his film, which addresses problems with the U.S. health system - and now he could find himself behind bars for his tenacity.
He explains, "The Bush administration has now launched an investigation of me and they’ve warned me that they’re coming after me and I may have to pay civil fines or a criminal penalty of possible jail.
"There’s a law that says that we cannot, as citizens, travel to Cuba or do trade with Cuba… trading with the so-called enemy.
"What they’re saying is that because I went down there to make this film and that the film has value… that they could possibly confiscate (the film)." But Moore insists he’d still do what he did to make the movie even if he knew he’s be part of an investigation upon his return.
He adds, "It turns out Cuba has this incredible healthcare system for a very poor country. There’s a doctor on every block, they have a lower infant mortality rate than we do, they live longer… I was kinda disgusted by that."

Britain’s Princes William and Harry have paid tribute to their late mother Princess Diana in the programme for her memorial concert.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:27 pm

The 127-page souvenir brochure published for the Concert for Diana - which features a portrait of Diana shot by photographer Mario Testino on the cover - includes a heartfelt introduction jointly penned by William, 24 and Harry, 22.
It reads: ‘It is 10 years since our mother died, but her remarkable work, and her wonderful gift for touching the lives of so many people, live on. ‘This concert is our way of remembering her the way we knew her - full of fun and laughter, and full of a love for life. We know that if our mother was here today she’d be over the moon about how many people have given up their time to remember her, and that she’d be the first up out of her seat and dancing.’ The programme also features an article written by Diana’s brother Earl Spencer and her sisters Sarah McCorquodale and Jane Fellowes entitled ‘Diana our sister’.
The siblings describe Diana as ‘a golden girl taken from us when far too young’ in their toughing piece.
The concert takes place at Wembley Stadium on July 1, which would have been Diana’s 46th birthday. The event will include performances from Sir Elton John, Take That, Lily Allen, Kanye West and Will Young, as well as appearances from David Beckham and Kiefer Sutherland.

Kate Middleton, the ex-girlfriend of Britain’s Prince William, has gone on holiday with another of the royal’s exes.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:27 pm

Kate, 25, who was tipped to marry the prince before their shock split in April, is soaking up the Ibiza sun with Emilia d’Erlanger, who was romantically linked with William in the past. Brunette Kate and blonde Emilia, 24, who both studied at St Andrews University where Kate and William met, were seen sunbathing on the beach and sipping cocktails. Emilia, niece of the 10th Viscount of Exeter, reportedly had a brief fling with Prince William before he got together with Kate.
Kate’s trip to the sunny Spanish island is her first holiday since she and William, 24, split.
The pretty graduate, who works as a buyer for high street fashion and accessories chain Jigsaw, visited Ibiza with William last September.
Photos of the pair looking ‘loved up’ and enjoying intimate yacht cruises led bookies to slash the odds on an impending marriage proposal. This time round, William was 900 miles away in London, taking part in the Trooping the Colour ceremony.
