Despite his supercool, hard man screen image, Jackson admits he’d shoot first and ask questions later if he ever awoke and found someone in his home.
He says, "I’m quite the opposite of fearless. I’m the guy who doesn’t go see what the noise is.
"If I’m at home in my house in Beverly Hills and I hear something down the hall I’ll just stay in my room. I’ll go turn the alarm on and if something happens the alarm will go off but I’m not gonna go down the hall to see if someone is in my house.
"I got a gun too. I will take the gun out and put it on the bed and just sit there and if somebody comes in the house that’s not supposed to be in the house I’ll just start shooting."

ANGELINA JOLIE has spoken out about her recent weightloss, admitting the death of her mother took its toll on her eating habits.
The actress accepts she has been looking a little unhealthy in recent months but insists she doesn’t have an eating disorder - she’s just been mourning the loss of her mother, Marcheline Bertrand, who died of ovarian cancer in January (07).
The actress says, "I’ve always been lean and this year I lost my mom and I’ve gone through a lot." Jolie also credits the facts she has stopped breastfeeding baby daughter Shiloh for her rapid weightloss.
She adds, "It’s been hard to get my nutrition back on track." But she’s upset that so many people have assumed her weightloss is cosmetic: "Instead of people saying I look like a person dealing with something emotionally, they assume it’s because I want to fit into skinny jeans.
"Someone saying to me that I’m thin is not a compliment."

BRITNEY SPEARS caused chaos in Santa Monica, California yesterday (15Jun07) in what appeared to be a desperate attempt to get a little paparazzi attention.
Photographers camped outside celebrity hotspot the Casa Del Mar hotel, hoping for the chance to shoot Britney’s one-time pop rival Mandy Moore - who was conducting press interviews inside, were stunned when the Toxic singer slowly drove by.
One bystander says, "It seemed obvious that Britney wanted to get noticed and photographed - why else would you show up at one of California’s paparazzi hang-outs.
"She drove really slowly and doubled back on herself to make sure that everyone who wanted to get a shot, got a shot." But Britney’s afternoon out turned ugly when her security guard, who was with her for the drive, had to fight off one snapper who got too close to his charge.
The onlooker says, "Britney had to make a run for it in the end. She and her bodyguard ended up hanging out by the hotel pool - in full view of everyone."

The Florida judge who briefly presided over the paternity battle for ANNA NICOLE SMITH’s daughter DANNIELYNN has retired in a bid to avoid a possible judicial inquiry over a recent drugs scandal.
Family Court Judge Lawrence Korda has been on voluntary paid leave since news of his part in a police drugs sting hit the headlines in March (07).
Korda was charged with misdemeanour marijuana possession after police officers spotted him smoking a joint in a park near a group of children.
The misdemeanour marijuana possession charge will be dismissed in November (07) if Korda passes six months of drug testing.

Actor JEFF BRIDGES stunned America on Thursday night (14Jun07) by donning a long black wig for his appearance on late night TV show The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson - and then removing it to reveal a bald pate.
The Big Lebowski star looked virtually unrecognisable as he shuffled onto comedian Ferguson’s nightly show with an unkempt wig and a bushy grey beard, prompting the host to quip, "Have you had your hair cut recently, Jeff?" The actor then whipped off his wig and revealed he’s gone bald for his new film in upcoming action film Iron Man.
Bridges, who plays Obadiah Stane in the highly-anticipated new movie, admits he wasn’t told to shave his head for the film, but felt his character would look great with no hair - and a long grey beard.
He says, "I didn’t have to be bald but I kind of have always wanted to be bald. My wife likes it."

Movie star ANNETTE BENING is returning to Broadway for the first time in 20 years to star in 2008 play THE FEMALE OF THE SPECIES.
The American Beauty star will team up with 2007 Tony winner Michael Mayer, who will direct the play, scheduled to open in New York next April (08).
The production will premiere at Los Angeles’ Geffen Playhouse in February (08). Bening will play a feminist writer suffering from writer’s block in the play.
The actress made her Broadway debut in Costal Disturbances, for which she received a Tony Award nomination.

Heavy rockers DROWNING POOL are fighting for returning U.S. soldiers’ rights after learning that war heroes are treated dreadfully once their service is over.
The group has just returned from a United Services Organisation tour, where they visited and performed for troops in the Middle East.
And while there, they gathered information about the soldiers who have returned home - to hardship.
Bassist Stevie Benton says, "Once home in the United States, we connected with Iraq/Afghanistan war veterans who have returned home.
"Though back on safe shores, these individuals are facing a steep uphill battle to reclaim their health after facing the trauma of war." The group has penned a letter to the public liaison office at The White House, in which the bandmates collectively addressed the issues of healthcare and concerns for the troops on their return home.
The letter was reportedly placed in President George W. Bush’s personal reading file. The Texas group will visit Washington, D.C. in September (07), when they will testify before Congress.

Disabled rocker RICK GONZALES has designed a racy new wheelchair to help him get around after a bike accident left him paralysed from the waist down.
The Diesel Machine bass player almost lost his life in a 2002 accident, after his Harley Davidson motorbike smashed into a car - and was left wheelchair-bound.
He has been thinking about creating his own line ever since.
He explains, "I was the guy put in the wheelchair in that horrible bike accident. Well, time’s gone by and I’m unveiling my new creation." Gonzales will unveil his wheelchair chopper later today (16Jun07) at the Abilities Expo at the Long Beach Convention Center in California.
He adds, "This is a one-of-a-kind bike designed and built by me for me, and it’s bad. It really is killer."

Country star SAMMY KERSHAW is to run as a Republican candidate for lieutenant governor of his native Louisiana.
The singer announced his plans on Wednesday (13Jun07) after talking about his political ambitions for years.
In making the announcement, he said, "I am not afraid to make difficult decisions. I know that with leadership comes responsibility." Kershaw, who is married to singer Lorrie Morgan, insisted that running a small empire throughout his career as a country star has prepared him for politics: "For the past 20 years, I have taken care of my employees and their families and have learned that leadership means personal sacrifice.
"It means putting the needs of others before your own." Big questions about Kershaw’s finances are sure to be asked - he filed for bankruptcy in federal court in Nashville, Tennessee in February (07).
Louisiana’s elections will take place this autumn (07).

Former STATIC-X star TRIPP EISEN has been released from custody after serving time for allegedly sexually assaulting a 14-yearold girl in January 2005.
The guitarist, real name Tod Rex Salvador, served his time at the Mid-State Correctional Facility in New Jersey.
He was arrested in Orange County, California after courting a New Jersey girl on the Internet, and then meeting her, and reportedly assaulting her in a shopping centre.
The unnamed teenager girl told her mother about the encounter and the worried mum called the police.
In a separate incident, Eisen was arrested in February, 2005 on one felony count of crimes against children after authorities from Orange County found him sleeping in a parked car with an underage female.
It transpired he’d just had sex with her.
He was sacked from Static-X after news of the sex scandal hit the headlines.

LATEST: DAVID HASSELHOFF has won sole custody of his teenage daughters after a lengthy battle with his ex-wife PAMELA BACH.
The actor/singer celebrated the news with reporters and cameramen after leaving Los Angeles County Superior court earlier today (15Jun07).
He revealed he has been granted "sole physical custody" of his kids, despite recent efforts to soil his name. These included the leaking of a home movie featuring a topless, drunk Hasselhoff on the floor of a Las Vegas hotel room, slurring his promises to stop drinking to his eldest daughter, Taylor, who was holding the camera.
According to website TMZ.com, Hasselhoff’s ex was spotted moments after the actor emerged victorious, sobbing in a courthouse corridor.
She was overheard telling her lawyer Debra Opri, "I just lost my kids." While Bach was attempting to prove her husband was a desperate alcoholic and an unfit father, Hasselhoff claimed his ex had a history of drug abuse.
Their bitter divorce and custody battle began in 2005. They were divorced last year (06).
