GANDOLFINI HAPPY WITH SOPRANOS FINALE

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:59 pm

JAMES GANDOLFINI has hit back at reports he wasn’t pleased with the climax of THE SOPRANOS by stating he was very impressed with his character TONY SOPRANO’s final scene.
The reclusive actor’s refusal to speak about Sunday night’s (10Jun07) finale at a cast reunion in Florida led many to believe he wasn’t happy with what he saw on TV.
But Gandolfini insists that’s not the case.
He tells today’s New York Daily News, "I thought it was a great ending." He admits family and friends have been trying to get more information out of him about the show’s finale, which shocked many fans, but he insists he doesn’t know what to make of it either.
Gandolfini adds, "You have to ask (The Sopranos creator) David Chase that.
Smarter minds than mine know the answer to that." Chase has declined to explain his ending, but his cast continue to applaud the final show.
Rocker-turned-Sopranos regular Steven Van Zandt says, "A conventional ending would have been a fraud. Life doesn’t have tidy little endings."

THERON SUED FOR WATCH OVERSIGHT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:56 pm

CHARLIZE THERON is being sued for wearing the wrong watch on the red carpet.
Watchmakers at Raymond Weil signed the Oscar winner as a spokesmodel for their $7,000 (£3,500) Shine watches, and were upset when they spotted her wearing a rival Dior timepiece at a 2006 Texas film festival.
According to website FilmStew.com, the Theron/Weil deal was worth an estimated $20 million (£10 million), and now the watchmakers are asking for their cash back.
In court papers, they insist Theron is guilty of breaching a contract and promoting a competing watch.
Weil attorney David Jaraslowicz says, "If you’re the model for Ralph Lauren, you can’t show up wearing Gucci at the AcademyAwards. She undercut our entire ad campaign.
"We spent a fortune on an ad campaign centred around her, then she goes off and makes us look silly in the industry by wearing Dior."

HUTCHENCE BIOPIC OFFICIAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:53 pm

LATEST: Tragic INXS star MICHAEL HUTCHENCE is to return from the grave in a new biopic produced by MORGAN FREEMAN.
The film, tentatively titled Slide Away - the name of the duet the singer performed with U2’s Bono, will feature Hutchence’s ghost recalling his wild life to daughter Tigerlily.
Longtime INXS videomaker Michael Egan will direct the film, while bosses at Freeman’s Revelations Productions company are now on the search for an actor to play Hutchence’s ghost. Initial reports suggest Johnny Depp is the frontrunner for the part.
But it’s unlikely Hutchence’s INXS bandmates will play any part in the film, even though members of the late rocker’s family have given producers their blessing.
The group’s publicist, Chrissy Camp, says, "The band has never been involved in any of these films and I really don’t think this one will be any different." Hutchence accidentally hanged himself while performing a sex act in a Sydney, Australia hotel in November, 1997.
