Luke Wilson cried when he was banned from the Playboy mansion.
The ‘Vacancy’ star admitted he was distraught when he was blacklisted from the infamous bachelor pad for trying to crash a party pretending to be his actor brother Owen.
Luke was so upset he called owner Hugh Hefner to beg for forgiveness.
He is quoted by the Daily Record newspaper as saying: ‘I phoned Hugh and apologised. I may have even cried.’ Luke, 35, also admitted he got tongue-tied when he asked actress Drew Barrymore - who he met on the set of 1998 comedy ‘Home Fries’ - out on a date.
He recalled: ‘I stammered when I asked her out. I remember thinking ‘What am I doing?’ ‘ The star insists although the couple didn’t work out romantically, they still remain close friends, and she even cast him in her movie ‘Charlie’s Angels’, which she starred in and produced.
He added: ‘Drew is one of my best friends.
‘The fact that she hired me for the first movie when we were no longer dating and were not necessarily getting along that way says a lot. I wouldn’t hire anybody I had been going out with.’ Luke stars with Kate Beckinsale in new horror flick ‘Vacancy’ which sees a soon-to-be-divorced couple stranded at a creepy hotel when their car breaks down.
