OCEAN’S THIRTEEN STEALS AMERICA’S NUMBER ONE SPOT

OCEAN’S THIRTEEN has debuted at the top of America’s box-office chart after heisting $37.1 million (£18.6 million).
The all-star sequel knocked Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End off the top spot after two weeks at number one. The Johnny Depp movie took $21.3 million (£10.7 million), taking its total U.S. takings to $253.6 million (£126.9 million).
Comedy Knocked Up falls a place to third with $20 million (£10 million), while animated film Surf’s Up is a new entry at four with $18 million (£9 million).
Rounding out the top five is Shrek The Third with $15.75 million (£7.88 million).
Horror sequel Hostel: Part II debuts at number six with $8.75 million (£4.38 million).
