MINOGUE HONOURED FOR 20 YEAR CAREER

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:41 pm

Australian pop star KYLIE MINOGUE will be the first woman to be honoured with this year’s (07) Music Industry Trusts’ Award after 20 years in the industry.
The Can’t Get You Out Of My Head singer was named "one of the great entertainers of all time" and "an icon of pop and style" by the awards committee - and will join past recipients Sir Elton John and Peter Gabriel in winning the award.
She says, "As well as being a fantastic evening, this award ceremony also raises much needed funds for The Brit Trust and Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, and it is a pleasure for me to be involved." Dave Munns, of the Music Industry Trust, says, "Kylie deserves this award for her success over 20 years, staying at the top in one of the toughest professions and inspiring millions with her grace, dignity and humanity.
The Trust also felt Kylie "has a unique place in this country’s heart and an appeal that seems to grow ever wide." Minogue will be presented with the honour on 29 October (07) in London.
