Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:11 pm

BRITNEY SPEARS’ estranged husband KEVIN FEDERLINE has dismissed reports he is to star alongside KEANU REEVES and FOREST WHITAKER in a new movie - he is "too busy" to take on the role.

HILTON LEARNS A ‘BITTER’ LESSON AND WITHDRAWS APPEAL

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:11 pm

LATEST: PARIS HILTON has acknowledged the "bitter, but important lesson" her recent legal troubles have taught her - and has decided not to appeal the decision to put her back behind bars.
The hotel heiress was sent back to Los Angeles’ Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California on Friday (08Jun07) to finish the 45-day sentence she began last Sunday (03Jun07) night - after a judge reversed the decision to allow her to complete the sentence under house arrest.
Hilton’s legal team were reportedly preparing to challenge Los Angeles judge Michael T. Sauer’s ruling, but have dropped the case at the Simple Life star’s request.
She was jailed for violating her parole following a 2006 drink driving arrest.
In a statement issued last night (09Jun07), Hilton says," Today I told my attorneys not to appeal the judge’s decision. While I greatly appreciate the Sheriff’s concern for my health and welfare, after meeting with doctors I intend to serve my time as ordered by the judge.
"This is by far the hardest thing I have ever done. During the past several days, I have had a lot of time to reflect and have already learned a bitter, but important lesson from this experience.
"As I have said before, I hope others will learn from my mistakes. I have also had time to read the mail from my fans. I very much appreciate all of their good wishes and hope they will keep their letters coming." And TMZ.com alleges the 26-year-old is on the verge of a nervous breakdown she is reportedly on suicide watch in the medical ward of the L.A. jail.

ONO: ‘LENNON CONVINCED ME TO KEEP BABY SEAN’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:08 pm

JOHN LENNON was forced to persuade his wife YOKO ONO to keep the baby when she discovered she was pregnant in 1975, because she was ready to have an abortion.
Ono, 74, admits she had just reconciled her relationship with the Imagine singer, and was worried a child would complicate things.
She later gave birth to baby Sean Taro Ono Lennon on 9 October 1975.
She says, "I thought I should let John decide whether to keep it or not. We’d just got back together and I became pregnant very soon.
"I didn’t know if it was the right moment to have a child. I just didn’t want to burden him with something he didn’t want.
"He said, ‘Of course we’re going to keep it’ as if he was very upset by the remark."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:08 pm

A star was born last night (09Jun07) as LEE MEAD was named as the winner of SIR ANDREW LLOYD WEBBER’s TV talent contest, ANY DREAM WILL DO.
The programme saw the theatre impressario stage a nationwide search for a new star to take on the leading role in his upcoming musical, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, in London’s West End.
Mead beat competition from Scottish contestant Keith Jack and blond student Lewis Bradley - who came second and third respectively - to win the public’s vote for the West End role.
The 26-year-old has previously worked as an understudy for hit shows The Phantom Of The Opera and Miss Saigon, and it was this professional theatre background which had made him the favourite to win.
After hearing the results, a stunned Mead said, "I just want to thank everyone so much. And to all of those that voted, I’m going to give you one hell of a show." Lord Lloyd-Webber says, "This guy has never appeared in a lead role before and we shouldn’t underestimate how far he has come." Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat will officially open at the Aldephi Theatre in London on 17 July (07).

BALE DREADS FILMING BATMAN SEQUEL IN THE SUMMER HEAT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:05 pm

Actor CHRISTIAN BALE is dreading filming the sequel to BATMAN BEGINS this summer - because he knows hot weather and rubber suits are a bad combination.
Bale has already begun shooting The Dark Knight with director Christopher Nolan, but with filming scheduled to run over the next few months, the 33-year-old will have to endure long hours dressed up in his fitted suit to play Bruce Wayne’s alter-ego, Batman.
He says, "I’m not really looking forward to wearing a black rubber suit in the summertime in humid Chicago. If you see a pool of sweat through the city, follow it and you will find me." Luckily for Bale however, Nolan prefers to film after the sun goes down.
Bale adds, "We tend to shoot at night like some kind of covert operation. So, we have minimal people actually seeing me in that way."

BACA DENIES HILTON DONATION INFLUENCED HOUSE ARREST DECISION

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:05 pm

Los Angeles County Sheriff Lee Baca has denied reports his controversial decision to let PARIS HILTON out of jail was influenced her grandfather’s $1,000 (£500) donation to his 2006 re-election campaign.
The Simple Life star was briefly released from Los Angeles’ Century Regional Detention Center on Thursday (07Jun07) and allowed to serve the rest of her sentence - imposed for violating probation - under house arrest.
Baca’s decision was overturned by a Los Angeles judge on Friday (08Jun07), who sent the heiress back to jail to serve her 45-day sentence in full.
It has since emerged that the Sheriff - who was re-elected for his third term in office last year (06) - had received a $1,000 donation from the 78-year-old business mogul Barron Hilton for his election campaign - leading to accusations of impropriety.
But Baca has dismissed the reports, insisting his decision to free the 26-year-old socialite was based solely on medical grounds.
A spokesman for the Los Angeles sheriff’s department says, "The campaign raised over $1 million. Within that context, $1,000 seems small."

DIANA PHOTOGRAPHERS SUE CHANNEL 4 FOR ‘STEALING’ CONTROVERSIAL IMAGES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:05 pm

LATEST: The photographers who took the controversial images of British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES in her final moments are suing U.K. TV network Channel 4 for "stealing" the pictures for use in their programme.
The Channel 4 show The Witnesses in the Tunnel was broadcast on national television last Wednesday (06Jun07) - despite pleas by Diana’s sons, Princes William and Harry, to axe the documentary altogether.
Among the pictures contested is one of Diana slumped in the back seat of the Mercedes moments after the fatal 1997 collision in Paris, and another showing a French doctor attempting to fit an oxygen mask to her face.
And photographers Fabrice Chassery and David Kerr have now launched legal proceedings against the network for failing to acknowledge their letter - a carbon copy of which has been forwarded to the princes’ representatives - which pleaded for the photos not to be used.
They claim that the images were taken as evidence by the French Police and are meant to remain in Paris under "lock and key". Chassery says, "These pictures were taken away by the Paris police ten years ago and are supposed to still be under lock and key.
"I told (the show’s producer) Janice they must have been stolen. We had a number of meetings and were offered thousands of euros. Janice kept saying, ‘We have a big budget.’ But I told her, ‘Do not use the picture. You have to think about how this will upset William and Harry. It is wrong.’ She just said they had got another picture from someone else.
"I am the only photographer who has ever laid claim to having taken this picture. I have never sought to profit from it but I want damages from Channel 4 for stealing it and I want it never to be shown again."

NO DOUBT BREAK ALLOWED BANDMEMBERS TO ‘GROW UP’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:02 pm

NO DOUBT guitarist TOM DUMONT is thankful for his four year break from the band, because the hiatus allowed him to mature into a family man.
The Don’t Speak hitmakers have each been working on solo projects since they announced their hiatus in 2003, and Dumont thinks the time they’ve spent away from one another will add to the chemistry of their next album, which they are looking to release in 2008.
He tells MTV, "This break has been good for everyone. We had been together as a band nonstop for so long that it was healthy for us to all stand on our own two feet, so to speak.
"In the past four years, I bought a house, got married and made a baby, so (I) pretty much grew up and returned to normal life outside of the rock stardom which dominated my 20s."
