LATEST: Actor DAVID HASSELHOFF’s ongoing custody wrangle with ex-wife PAMELA BACH is still nowhere near resolution - the pair have been instructed to return to court next week (15Jun07).
Both the Baywatch star and Bach are seeking custody of their daughters Hayley, 16, and Taylor-Ann, 14, and showed up for a private hearing in Los Angeles today (05Jun07).
However, discussions were deferred after just 90 minutes, and both parties expressed frustration at yet another delay to proceedings.
Outside the court Hasselhoff told reporters, "They’ve continued the case until the 15th, but the judge asked me not to say anything." Bach’s attorney Debra Opri complained, "There was just not enough time to discuss anything," while her client added simply, "I want resolution." Hasselhoff and Bach were married in 1989 but divorced last year (06) and have been sharing custody since.
Hasselhoff briefly lost the right to visit his daughters for two weeks last month (May07) after a video of the drunken actor hurling expletives to his teenage daughter was leaked onto the internet.

Former BLUE star DUNCAN JAMES is following in the footsteps of RICHARD GERE, USHER and DAVID HASSELHOFF after being cast in the role of CHICAGO’s BILLY FLYNN.
The British pop star will play the singing and dancing lawyer at London’s Cambridge Theatre from 2 July (07).

Pop star HILARY DUFF insists it was inevitable BRITNEY SPEARS would have a breakdown.
The 19-year-old singer believes the Toxic star’s admittance to the Promises clinic in Malibu, California earlier this year (07) was due to the unrelenting pressure she has faced since a young age.
She says, "I feel for her. I’ve met her a few times and she’s very sweet, hard-working and talented.
"Being Britney Spears must be difficult. She’s been told what to do since she was young. She’s not a bad mum - she’s a first-time mum, and because she’s famous, she’s expected never to make mistakes. The pressure she’s under would get to anyone. People need to leave her alone." But Duff is adamant she won’t suffer the same fate: "I’m not going to stop doing what I love because I’m afraid of breaking down. But I’ve seen how easily it happens. "My sister, Haylie, and I used to live in this apartment complex with lots of young Hollywood stars. I watched lots of famous people earning too much and getting into trouble. I saw people lose everything. Thankfully, I haven’t fallen into that trap."

Hollywood couple KATE HUDSON and OWEN WILSON have amicably split, according to U.S. reports.
The actors - who reportedly fell in love on the set of 2006’s You, Me and Dupree - parted ways at the end of last month (May07) for undisclosed reasons, People.com claims.
A source adds, "They’re still friends." The reports come just weeks after Wilson’s brothers Luke and Andrew sent gossip columns into overdrive when they hinted the couple had wed in secret during a radio interview.
When questioned about their relationship status, Andrew joked, "I thought they were married already." Reps for Hudson and Wilson have refused to comment on the split rumours.
Hudson is currently in divorce proceedings with estranged husband Chris Robinson, who she split from last August (06).

Pop star-turned-record boss JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE has made his first label signing - a Dutch teenager and YouTube star.
Esmée Denters has already made a name for herself with online cover versions of songs by Shakira and Beyoncé via a webcam in her bedroom.
And Timberlake is so impressed he’s snapped up the talented youngster to Tenman Records, launched last month (May07).

LATEST: PARIS HILTON’s mother KATHY is adament her daughter will emerge from her 23-day prison term "a better person", and is doing everything she can to support the jailed heiress.
The Simple Life star began her jail term at the Century Regional Detention Center on Sunday night (03Jun07), after violating her probation following a 2006 drink-driving arrest.
And while Kathy Hilton was fighting back the tears as she accompanied the 26-year-old to jail at the weekend, she is confident Paris will learn from her mistakes.
Hilton’s publicist Elliot Mintz tells the New York Post, "Kathy is very emotional. She wanted to exhibit strength for her daughter.
"She thought it was the most important thing to do. She thinks Paris will emerge from this a better person."

LATEST: LINDSAY LOHAN’s ‘knife pal’ VANESSA MINNILLO regrets her behaviour with the young star, according to reports.
Pictures of the pair cavorting with knives and pulling at each others’ tops in June last year (06) were leaked onto the internet last week (ends01Jun07).
But Minnillo, who is now dating pop star Nick Lachey, is allegedly ashamed by her behaviour, which took place after a night out at New York club Bungalow 8.
A source tells American publication Us Weekly, "(Minnillo) got caught up in the moment and thought it would be fun.
"It was stupid and she regrets it. They were only fooling around."

Director SPIKE LEE has vowed to continue highlighting the plight of Hurricane Katrina victims with a follow-up documentary about the 2005 disaster.
The moviemaker’s original offering, When The Levees Broke: A Requiem in Four Acts, attracted huge critical acclaim for its frank look at the disaster and its aftermath.
It featured footage which many news networks were reluctant to broadcast, including scenes of bloated bodies floating in the floodwaters near New Orleans, Louisiana.
And Lee insists, "The story is not over. It’s still something that’s evolving and we want to keep on top of it.
"Most of them (victims) are still up the creek without a paddle, abandoned by their local, state and federal governments. We can’t forget about them." Lee accepted a Peabody Award in New York yesterday (04Jun07) for his original documentary.

Customers of a Californian gay bar have taken out a magazine advertisement, appealing to BRAD PITT and GEORGE CLOONEY to buy the premises.
Two years ago (05), a false report linked the Ocean’s Twelve co-stars to the Boom Boom Room in Laguna Beach, Orange County, claiming the actors had co-invested in the bar/hotel.
At the time, Clooney’s spokesman Stan Rosenfeld said, "I don’t know who started that rumour, but it’s not true." However, the Boom Boom Room is now for sale again and its current clientele are appealing for Clooney and Pitt to help save the 60-year-old building, over fears it may be converted into a boutique hotel.
A group have formed to save the bar and they have placed an ad in trade magazine Variety, asking for the actors’ help.
It reads, "We are appealing to both of you to buy our 60 year old landmark before it is converted into a boutique hotel. Both of you are true leaders in human and civil rights."

Canadian journalist REBECCA ECKLER is suing Universal Studios over their latest hit movie KNOCKED UP, claiming the film was inspired by her best-selling book.
Eckler’s 2004 novel Knocked Up: Confessions Of A Hip Mother-To-Be detailed the party-loving journalist’s unplanned pregnancy and subsequent birth of her daughter Rowan.
In the latest issue of Maclean’s magazine, Eckler accuses the makers of the movie of stealing the premise from her novel and says she plans to take legal action.
She says, "Both my book and the movie feature one night of passion and the nine months that follow. Fine. Whatever.
"But what got me was the fact that Alison (Katherine Heigl) was an up-and-coming television reporter; in my book, I was an up-and-coming newspaper reporter." Heigl plays a TV journalist who falls pregnant with unemployed Seth Rogen’s child after a one night stand.

Actor ROY SCHEIDER has expressed delight his New York residence is to be transformed into a musical haven - BILLY JOEL is buying it for approximately $18.75 million (£9.38 million).
The Jaws star is already envisaging his home’s harmonious future when the singer/songwriter moves in, and believes Joel will be inspired by the sprawling five-bedroom oceanfront mansion.
He says, "I’m so happy that Billy Joel is buying it, because it’s the perfect house for him.
"He can put his piano on the second floor, overlook the beach and the farmland, and write beautiful music for all of us." Scheider’s house was built for the actor and his family in 1994.

LATEST: Bollywood superstar AMITABH BACHCHAN appeared in court in Uttar Pradesh, India today (05Jun07) to fight for his right to be recognised as a farmer.
The veteran actor was last week (ends01Jun07) ruled to have forged a 1983 certificate identifying him as a farmer.
But he today lodged his appeal, in a bid to keep a 20 acre farm in western Maharashtra. Agricultural land in the state is only allowed to be owned by legitimate farmers.
The court has heard how Bachchan allegedly used political contacts including his politician wife - to be designated as a farmer.
The appeal will begin on Thursday (07Jun07).

Comedy star LARRY DAVID has split from LAURIE, his wife of 14 years, according to reports.
The New York Post’s Page Six column claims the pair have ended their marriage amicably.
David made $200 million (£100 million) from his role as co-creator of the hugely successful Seinfeld, before finding fame on the otherside of the camera in Curb Your Enthusiasm, which he wrote and starred in.
Laurie David has found success of her own as an environmental campaigner and the producer of documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
A representative for the couple has refused to comment on the reports.

MIKE WILLIAMS, the frontman of rockers EYEHATEGOD, has been released from jail in New Orleans, Louisiana after serving two months for drug offences.
The rocker has also revealed he has been banned from New Orleans for five years by a judge.
Williams writes online, "Hey kids - I’m out of jail, again. Just a minor technicality, though. It’s all part of the game. Society f**ks us all sooner or later in one way or another; but two months in Orleans Parish Prison really ain’t nuthin’ compared to the bulls**t of everyday life. If you wanna play the drug game you better be ready to deal with the consequences - it ain’t no joke." Just two years ago, former heroin addict Williams served 91 days in Morgan City Jail near New Orleans on narcotics charges.

Rapper YUKMOUTH was arrested in Los Angeles at the weekend (03Jun07) and charged for driving on a suspended license.
The I Got 5 On It star - real name Jerold Dwight Ellis II - was stopped by police early on Sunday morning, who discovered his license had been suspended for a previous incident.
But when cops ran a background check on his name, they found there was also an outstanding warrant for his arrest - the reason for which is as yet unspecified.
The rapper, formerly one half of The Luniz, was taken into custody and charged for the two offences.
His bail has reportedly been set at $40,000 (£20,000).

Hip-hop superstar EMINEM has vowed not to press charges against an 18-year-old wannabe rapper who phoned him after stealing his number from his ex-wife Kim.
Kyle Spratt was fired from his job at a bingo hall in Ontario, Canada after snatching Kim Mathers’ cellphone when she visited there last month (May07). He used the phone to get Eminem and rapper Obie Trice’s personal numbers.
He then called the Slim Shady star - real name Marshall Mathers III - in a bid to get his demo heard.
Spratt says, "I’m just really desperate to get my music heard. I’m not having a good life… and I feel that my music could really help me if I really made it.
"He (Eminem) was a real asshole. He pretended it was wasn’t him, and he did a fake voice." When Detroit Police called him, warning him to stop harassing the rapper, Spratt taped the conversation and sampled it on a new track he created, called Slim Shady is a Sellout, slamming Eminem.
Police in Ontario then contacted Spratt, amid fears that he had threatened the Mathers’ that he would post pictures of their children on the internet but when cops failed to find any such snaps the ex-couple agreed not to press charges. Spratt’s track has since been removed from the internet.

Hip-hop mogul SHAWN ‘JAY-Z’ CARTER has reportedly proposed to his long-term girlfriend, BEYONCE KNOWLES.
According to British media reports, Carter cancelled several U.S. promotional appearances for his Roc-A-Fella empire and flew out to France last week (begs28May07) to surprise the Bootylicious beauty with a romantic break in Cannes, where he allegedly popped the question.
Beyonce - who is currently in the U.K. as part of her world tour - accepted the proposal, and a source says the rapper has promised her "the biggest diamond she can fit on her finger".
The source adds, "This will be the hip-hop wedding to end all hip-hop weddings." Earlier this year (07), the former Destiny’s Child star gushed about her romance with Carter, saying: "I want to get married and really want a family in a perfect world I’d have two boys and a girl. You know someone loves you by the way he treats you and respects you. Me and Jay respect each other." The couple are said to be planning to marry in Hawaii later this year.
