She said he was just saying, ‘Hey baby, you’re pretty fine.’ " The robbers accosted two employees and forced them to open the till. One man grabbed the money, forced the workers to the ground and then fled.

A German woman triggered a major child search operation after mistaking a dwarf for a "young child" being kidnapped.
The woman spotted what she thought was a "young child" being locked into a car boot and alerted authorities as it drove off.
Police in the northern city of Bremen set up road blocks and dispatched patrol cars to intercept the vehicle.
But when the car was stopped, police found the "boy" was actually car mechanic Klaus "Shorty" Mueller, 27.
A police spokesperson confirmed: "A major investigation and manhunt was immediately launched and the car and its driver were apprehended.
"It seems the driver had been worried by inexplicable rattling noises in or near his boot.

Around 3,000 spectators watched competitors hurling themselves down Cooper’s Hill in Brockworth, England on Monday (28.05.07) in the bizarre annual contest.
They chased 200m down the steep slope in pursuit of the wheel-shaped Double Gloucester.

Elephant hide

Posted in: Bizzare Stories — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:23 pm

Hundreds of wild elephants were found "hiding" in Sudan.
The heavy herd was discovered by chance on a treeless island in south Sudan.
International wildlife experts said their hide-out meant they’d avoided falling prey to unchecked hunters for 20 years.
The actual location of the elephants will not be disclosed, to prevent poachers from finding and killing them.
Sudan’s civil war resulted in the displacement of many animals but the living areas of most have been recorded and made available to the public.
An environmentalist said: "It’s not that good a habitat for elephants, but they’re free of people shooting at them. You and I wouldn’t stand a chance in there between the mosquitoes and crocodiles. And you’d get lost."
