ROTH’S HUDSON FANTASY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:04 pm

Horror filmmaker ELI ROTH fantasises about torturing KATE HUDSON on the big screen.
The Hostel director has tortured BIJOU PHILLIPS and JORDAN LADD in his movies, but would love to see romantic comedy queen Hudson is a gritty horror role.
He tells America’s Details magazine, "I’d love to torture her. But then again, sitting through one of her romantic comedies is its own form of torture.
"If I had to choose between watching Raising Helen or vomiting because of something I’d seen on the screen in Hostel: Part II, I’d pick the vomit every time."

MOORE CALLS FOR LIVER BAN

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:04 pm

Hollywood actor ROGER MOORE has launched a campaign to ban French delicacy foie gras in the U.K, insisting it is "a disease" not a meal.
The former Bond star has teamed up with People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals (PETA) to call for a ban of the delicacy - made from the liver of goose or duck - and sent British members of Parliament a video of ducks being force-fed.
He says, "In foie gras farms across Europe and the U.S., metal pipes are used to cram as much as four pounds of grain and fat down the throats of birds and geese, thereby causing their livers to become painfully diseased and swell up to 10 times the normal size.
"Foie gras is a disease, not a delicacy."

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:01 pm

PETER O’TOOLE is confident a new film written by an English medic is the key to his first Oscar.
The veteran actor, who has been nominated eight times in the Best Actor category but has only won an honorary Oscar, believes Love And Vision is his ticket to Academy Award success.
A screenplay for the period epic was penned by Dr Mia Sperger, a consultant radiologist from Liverpool - with John Malkovich and Daryl Hannah also set to star in the movie.
Sperger says after O’Toole agreed to the part, he told her, "This is my Oscar." Director Raul Ruiz will direct the $27 million (£13.5 million) epic set during the reign of English monarch Charles the Great between 768-814.
He says, "There were so many possibilities. If I were to single out what most stands out about Love And Virtue, it would be its extraordinarily poetic and visionary character."

Following the revelations, Best has admitted to The Sun he had a problem with narcotics and has indulged in orgies with escorts.

Stuart Craig, who was responsible for the set production on several of the Harry Potter films and who will work on the park’s design, ensures the attraction will stay true to the books’ world.
He explains, "Our primary goal is to make sure this experience is an authentic extension of Potter’s world as it is portrayed in the books and films.

Sony claims box office figures for Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World’s End included a seventh day instead of the usual six.
The third installment of the swashbuckling series grossed $401 million (£200.5 million), but Sony - the company behind Spider-Man 3 - claims that with a seventh day taken into account, Spider-Man outperformed the Pirates sequel with $418 million (£209 million).
Walt Disney Pictures admitted they included figures for worldwide previews in the total, but insisted this contribution to the final figure was minimal.

WEST: ‘I’M THE MUSIC WORLD’S MEL GIBSON’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:52 pm

Rapper KANYE WEST has branded himself the MEL GIBSON of the music world - and believes the pair miss out on awards because they are outspoken.
The hip-hop star is adamant his albums are "the best", but fails to pick up any gongs because critics want him to stop publicly expressing his views.
Speaking to MTV, he says, "My favourite movie this year was Apocalypto and I love Mel Gibson.
"Sometimes I feel a little like Mel Gibson
. (People say to him) ‘OK, Mel Gibson, we know (your movie is) the best, but if you shut up, maybe we can give you an award.’ That’s how I think that’s how people feel about me sometimes: ‘OK, (your album) was the best’
. Apocalypto was the best movie
. It’s probably some complete bulls**t that got nominated over it.
"Around the time of the awards, if you want to ask me what’s the bulls**t that got nominated, I will tell you
. It’s my opinion, it doesn’t mean it’s good or bad
. I’m a movie buff." West stormed the stage at the MTV Europe Music Awards last November (06) when he was beaten to the Best Video gong by French duo Justice Vs Simian, complaining, "My video cost $1 million
. Pamela Anderson was in it." In November 2004, West also blasted the music of country singer Gretchen Wilson, after she triumphed in the Best Newcomer category at the American Music Awards

Yoko Ono tasted a corgi kebab last night (29.05.07) as part of a protest against the British Royal Family’s treatment of animals.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

Controversial performance artist Mark McGowan cooked and ate the dead dog - the same breed as the queen’s favourite pets - on a London radio show on which John Lennon’s widow was also a guest.
Following his performance on London’s 104.4 Resonance FM, McGowan said: ‘It’s really, really disgusting. It’s stinky, it’s not like any meat I’ve seen.
‘And Yoko looked a bit strange as she tried it.
‘But it was provocative and exhilarating’.
The pedigree dog - which died at a breeding farm two weeks ago - was cooked and served with herbs in a pitta bread.
McGowan staged the stunt in protest against Britain’s Prince Philip’s involvement in the alleged inhumane killing of a fox during a royal shoot at Queen Elizabeth’s Sandringham estate.
He previously said: ‘I’m raising awareness at the inability of the RSPCA to prosecute Prince Philip and his friends for shooting a fox this year. It was left to fight for life for five minutes then beaten to death.’ A Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) spokeswoman said: ‘If the dog’s dead he’s free to eat it.
‘But we did look at the incident with Prince Philip and decided no offence was committed. I’d suggest Mr McGowan try a private prosecution.’ McGowan, of Peckham, South London, has previously eaten a swan during a performance art show. An old English law states that all swans belong to the queen and it is illegal to kill them.

Coleen McLoughlin believes Britain’s Prince Harry would make a great clubbing companion.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

Coleen, who is engaged to England soccer star Wayne Rooney, says if she could meet any member of the British Royal Family she would choose 22-year-old Harry.
She said: ‘Out of all the royals, the one I’d like to meet is Prince Harry. He really looks like he knows how to enjoy himself. I reckon you’d have a laugh on a night out with him.’ The young prince has become renowned for his hard partying, but was recently ordered to tone it down by royal aides. Harry, a second lieutenant in the Blues and Royals, was banned from going to Iraq with the rest of his regiment over fears for his safety, and aides are keen to avoid him being pictured getting drunk while his men are risking their lives for their country.
Harry was recently spotted at Bristol nightclub Syndicate, but was reportedly on his best behaviour and had only three bodyguards for company.
Reports emerged yesterday (29.05.07) that Harry could still be sent unannounced to join 6,500 British troops battling the Taliban in Afghanistan.

A four-year-old boy has become pen pals with Britain’s Queen Elizabeth.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

Tom Stancombe started exchanging letters with the monarch after he released a balloon, carrying his name and address, at a school fete and it landed in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
The queen spotted the balloon and asked her personal assistant, Angela Kelly, to write a letter on her behalf.
She wrote: ‘The queen was delighted to find that your balloon had travelled all the way to the gardens at Windsor Castle.’ Tom, who proudly put the letter on his wall, wrote back to say that his great, great grandfather, the artist Petrus Johannes Arundzen, had been commissioned to copy Dutch masters on display at Windsor Castle and Buckingham Palace.
Angela then promptly replied that she would contact the Royal Collection to find out what had happened to the works.
She kept to her word and two weeks letter wrote to Tom to tell him what had happened to the etchings, explaining they now form part of the print collection in the Print Library.
Angela then asked a favour of Tom, writing: ‘Would you be able to ask your Mummy and Daddy for me if they know anything more about your great, great grandfather. Royal Collection would love to know more about him.’ Along with his parents, Tom wrote back to fill in all the gaps about Petrus Johannes Arundzen.
Although Tom’s parents don’t think there will be any more letters exchanged between the pair, they were touched that she had taken time to contact them.
Tom’s father said: ‘I don’t expect we’ll get another one, but I think it’s incredible they bothered replying at all.’

Britain’s Prince Charles and his wife Camilla begun a series of visits in Scotland by opening an art exhibition yesterday (29.05.07).

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 1:33 pm

The royal couple kicked-off their three-day tour by officially launching the show at the Edinburgh College of Art, where they met with staff and students.
The exhibition - which also features work by students at London’s Prince’s Drawing School - contains photography, painting and jewellery.
Keen artist Charles - who, ever conscious of his carbon footprint, arrived in the city by train - spent over an hour chatting with students featured in the show.
Artist Hannah Murgatroyd said the prince had been impressed with her interior drawing of a Soho bar.
She said: ‘Charles and Camilla liked the lively subject matter. The Prince said it reminded him of Toulouse-Lautrec.’ The princes’ trip to the school marked the historic institution’s centenary year.
Charles’ great grandfather, who went on to become King George V, laid the school’s foundation in 1907. As the royal couple left the college, the prince unveiled a plaque commemorating the visit and marking the college’s 100th anniversary year.
The prince later visited Scotland’s biggest young offenders’ institution in Polmont and chatted to prisoners laying bricks in the workshop.
One of the prisoners, 17-year-old William Frew, who is serving a four-month sentence for theft, said: ‘He was a nice man. It’s good because on the outside you wouldn’t get within two feet of him, but in here you can go and shake his hand.’
