THE LORD OF THE RINGS SHOW IS SUSPENDED AFTER INJURY
A musical production of THE LORD OF THE RINGS in London has been suspended after a member of the cast broke his leg on stage.
The injured actor is believed to have caught his leg in the machinery of the £1 million ($2 million) moving hydraulic stage shortly after the performance began in the Theatre Royal in the West End.
A 2,300-strong audience was told a "technical problem" had occurred, but were informed 20 minutes later by producer Kevin Wallace the production had been cancelled due to further investigation into a cast member’s accident.
An audience member tells London’s Evening Standard, "The actors were exiting stage right when I heard a noise and somebody shouted, ‘My leg, my leg!’ At first nobody was sure if it was part of the story or not.
"It was quite dark and there were a lot of actors on stage so we couldn’t see who it was but they were clearly in pain. Then there was a break for 10 minutes because of technical problems." Lord Of The Rings producers has issued a statement they are "looking at modifying the stage". Performances of the show are due to resume on Saturday

I hope that no one was a victim and this accident does not spoil all the impression.
