Prince will play a one off concert at the Minneapolis branch of department store Macy’s to launch his new fragrance 3121 on July 7.
Fans of the ‘Purple Rain’ singer can purchase the Ultimate Prince Xperience package – which includes a ticket to the private show on the eighth floor of Macy’s downtown store, a ticket to Prince’s performance at the Target Centre that evening and one bottle of his 3121 perfume.
The Xperience costs $250, plus service fees and taxes and will be available to 1,400 lucky fans.
The tickets go on sale at Macy’s Minneapolis tomorrow (01.06.07).
The women’s fragrance is named after Prince’s new album ‘3121′, and according to his publicist it will be ‘Xquisite, Mysterious, Xotic’ and will smell like a ‘kaleidoscope of rich florals’.
Prince’s fragrance will be available to buy on July 7, the same date as the hotly anticipated global ‘Live Earth’ charity concerts.
The shows are taking place in nine cities across the globe, including London, Tokyo and Rio de Janeiro, and Prince is rumoured to be headlining one.
The 48-year-old is the latest in a long line of stars to bring out their own signature scent.
Other celebrities to have put their name to a fragrance include Paris Hilton, Kylie Minogue, Sarah Jessica Parker, Britney Spears and David and Victoria Beckham.
