ELTON THANKS SCISSOR SISTERS

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 2:10 pm

Music legend SIR ELTON JOHN has hailed his Ivor Novello Award as one of his greatest victories - claiming he owes the success to his ‘proteges’ the Scissor Sisters.
The Rocket Man hitmaker picked up the PRS Most Performed Work prize for his contribution to Scissor Sisters’ hit single I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’ at a London ceremony last week (24May07).
The singer says it was his collaboration with Scissor Sisters bandmates Scott ‘Babydaddy’ Hoffman and Jake Shears that won the prize.
He says, "We wrote the song in a Las Vegas hotel room. As you may know, I always write alone. "I want to thank Scott and Jason (Jake Shears) from the Scissor Sisters, because this was the first time I’ve written a song in the same room as other people and it was a fabulous experience."
