MARATHON STAR WARS SCREENING CELEBRATES 30 YEARS
Fans celebrated the 30th anniversary of the release of STAR WARS by watching all six sci-fi movies back-to-back in Los Angeles, starting on Wednesday (23May07).
The marathon screening was the first time all six movies - Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Revenge Of The Sith and Attack Of The Clones - had been shown together in America.
The Los Angeles Convention Center event took 17 hours and finished at 2am yesterday (24May07) morning.
In other Star Wars news, the five day Star Wars Celebration IV also started in L.A. yesterday (24May07), while the city’s mayor, Antonio Villaraigosa, will later declare today (25May07) Star Wars Day in honour of the 30th anniversary of Star Wars’ release.
