WANNABE APPRENTICE CONTESTANT SETTLES LAWSUIT
A 51-year-old man who was turned down as a potential contestant on U.S. reality TV show THE APPRENTICE has settled a lawsuit against the programme’s producers.
R. Joseph Hewett was 49 years old when he applied for the chance to appear before real estate mogul Donald Trump, and claimed he was rejected because of his age.
A Boston, Massachusetts judge agreed to Hewett’s request to dismiss his age discrimination lawsuit on Monday (21May07).
Hewett said, "I have reached a settlement but I am prohibited from speaking about it other than to say it’s satisfactory to all parties."
