WAHLBERG: ‘PRISON SCARED ME’
Hollywood actor MARK WAHLBERG gave up on a life of crime when he was 16 after a brief spell in prison.
The Boogie Nights star spent 45 days in jail at Boston’s Deer Island House of Correction after pleading guilty to assault against a middle-aged Vietnamese man in 1987.
But his time there convinced him that a life of crime wasn’t for him.
He explains, "It was the first time Mom couldn’t get me out and my acting skills weren’t gonna get me out.
"Big guys checking me out - not a good place to be. I like sleeping in my own bed. I like my mother’s cooking."
