JACKSON FORCED TO RETHINK SWEARING POLICY

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 8:04 pm

SAMUEL L. JACKSON was forced to rethink his attitude towards swearing in front of his family when his young daughter began repeating his expletives.
The Pulp Fiction star admits he spoke to Zoe, now 25, "like he talked to his friends", and often swore in her presence - which culminated in her telling pals "f**k you" when she was three-years-old.
Speaking to British film magazine Little White Lies he says, "I never edited my speech with my daughter and I talked to her liked I talked to my friends but she could not answer me back the same way.
"I recall hearing when she was three talking to her friends and saying ‘f**k you’. She understood the context of different words. We took her to a wedding once and was asking her about some food and she replied, ‘What is that s**t?’"

He says, "I’m certainly not looking for another swords movie. Or a trilogy! I’m looking for something contemporary, or at least a very human story." And the actor regrets not starring in last year’s (06) acclaimed movie The Last King Of Scotland because he was busy on another film.
He adds, "I did meet Kevin Macdonald (the director), but he was itching to go, and while I would have loved to do it, I was doing Elizabethtown. But they did a fantastic job. It’s the sort of film I would like to be making.

RUSSELL: ‘CINEMAGOERS WILL REGRET GRINDHOUSE FLOP’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:58 pm

KURT RUSSELL has warned U.S. cinemagoers they will regret not savouring the recent GRINDHOUSE movie because there will never be a cinema experience like it again.
The double bill helmed by Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez aimed to replicate the grindhouse experience of the 1970s by showing fake trailers between the two movies - but the films will be released separately for its European theatrical release after a poor showing at the U.S. box office earlier this year (07).
And Russell, who starred in Tarantino’s installment Death Proof, is saddened by the audience’s response.
Speaking at Cannes Film Festival, he says, "There will be no movies made in the next five years like Planet Terror (Rodriguez) and Death Proof. These two movies are going to go off with a life of their own, but my prediction is that 20 years from now, you’ll want the Grindhouse experience. You won’t want them separately.
"For the full effect, the other experience is something bizarre that I’ve never experienced before and I like the short version."

50 CENT HITS BACK IN CAM’RON FEUD WITH SALES FIGURES

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:52 pm

Hip-hop star 50 CENT has hit back at CAM’RON, declaring his rapper rival can only dream of matching his sales figures - and brands the star "delusional".
50 Cent and Cam’ron have been embroiled in a feud since their on-air clash on New York radio station Hot 97 in February (07).
A week later, 50 Cent released Funeral Music - a track aimed at Cam’ron online, who responded with Cuurtis - named in reference to 50’s real name, Curtis Jackson.
50 Cent is now planning to name his forthcoming album Curtis, but refuses to admit his rival inspired the title.
He says, "He’s delusional. For a person to think that calling you the name your mom gave you at birth is disrespectful is beyond belief. He’s punished himself more than I can punish him. He’s made a fool of himself.
"There’s nobody asking me about Cam’ron. I think people lost interest in it, based on the situation. He’s not even relevant.
"You’re talking about a guy who sold 270,000 (copies of) his last record. I sold 9.8 million my last record. I’m not going to exhaust my audience by talking about somebody they have no interest in."

She says, "I don’t think it’d be, like, a real rock band. It’s be more like our version of alternative, so it wouldn’t necessarily be like heavy and guitar-driven. It would be left of field, but not necessarily pop."

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:35 pm

The Duke of Edinburgh visited the charred remains of the historic sea clipper - destroyed in a suspected arson attack - yesterday (22.05.07) and was visibly devastated by the wreckage.
Chairman of Cutty Sark Enterprises, Chris Livett, told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: ‘The duke is very concerned. He was quite shocked by the extent of it.’ Philip, who is president of the Cutty Sark Trust, had helped raise funds towards the £25 million restoration of the ship, which was in progress before the shock blaze ripped struck in the early hours of Monday morning (21.05.07).
The prince compared the site of the Cutty’s burnt remains to the 1992 fire which part destroyed Windsor Castle.
Police are still treating the Cutty Sark’s remains as a crime scene, and are appealing for witnesses. Donations to help restore the vessel have already started pouring in. The tea clipper, which sits in a dry dock in Greenwich, east London, was due to reopen to the public in 2009 following completion of the restoration project.

Britain’s Prince Charles has stepped up security at his country home to keep ramblers out.

Posted in: Royal News — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 4:35 pm

The 58-year-old prince is determined to keep his Gloucestershire mansion Highgrove private and does not want country walkers accidentally traipsing through his property.
In the past, ramblers have sparked unnecessarily security alerts by trying to get a closer look at the royal home.
The estate already boasts state-of-the-art security including infra-red cameras and pressure pads which can differentiate between humans and animals, but extra measures have been now been taken.
A source told Britain’s The Sun newspaper: ‘Not only is there a rapid response unit, but it is even back up by a police helicopter.’ Last month, Charles and his wife Camilla were in shock after two intruders set of hi-tech alarms at their Highgrove in the early hours of the morning.
Luckily, the prince and Camilla were away in Scotland when the incident occurred.
A search of the grounds was conducted but neither trespasser was found and no arrests were made.
This security breach was the second at the country home this year.
In January, a Bristol man brandishing a pitchfork found his way into the grounds while Charles and Camilla were asleep inside.
