PANTOJA IS OUT OF JAIL AND ONTO THE STAGE
LATEST: Spanish singer ISABEL PANTOJA has made a victorious return to the stage after her spell in jail.
The flamenco star spent a night in jail earlier this month (May07) after being arrested for suspected money laundering and tax evasion.
Pantoja’s arrest was part of a police operation against corruption on Spain’s Costa del Sol, which has resulted in the arrest of more than 1,000 people and the seizure of goods worth more than $3.2 billion (£1.6 billion).
She was freed on a $122,500 (£61,250) bond and wowed 20,000 fans at Plaza Mayor in Vallodolid, Spain on 12 May.
Pantoja’s partner - former Marbella mayor Julian Munoz - has been held in prison since his arrest last July (06), accused of bribery and embezzlement of public funds.
