New INXS frontman J.D. FORTUNE has had a bust-up with his bandmates - after trying to change the name of the rock legends.
Fortune, who replaced late lead singer Michael Hutchence after winning 2005 talent show Rock Star: INXS, wanted to name the band Farriss Brothers, after bandmember brothers Tim, Jon and Andrew Farriss.
Tim explains to Billboard, "He came up with the idea to call the band Farriss Brothers and went around telling everybody. Hello, he’s been in the band for five minutes and already he’s changing the name." Bassist Garry Gary Beers and guitarist Kirk Pengilly were particularly happy and immediately vetoed the idea.
Farriss continues, "But J.D. seems comfortable with it, which is quite ironic."

The 81-year-old monarch took the prestigious title at the Greatest Britons 2007 awards ceremony in London - broadcast live on ITV1 - last night (21.05.07).
The queen was not present to receive the top accolade, but her son Prince Edward accepted the award on her behalf via a video link.
He said: ‘I might be a little bit biased, but I can’t thank you enough for acknowledging the fantastic contribution my mother has made and continues to make for Britain. She feels very honoured to receive this.
‘Thank you very much.’ The queen beat finalists Sir Paul McCartney, Robbie Williams, Dame Julie Andrews and Baroness Margaret Thatcher to take the top accolade. Readers of Britain’s The Sun newspaper chose the five finalists from a list of 50 Brits and viewers of ITV picked the monarch as their favourite from the shortlist.
A panel of celebrity judges picked the winners of the other nine categories - Fashion, Sport, TV, The Arts, Film, Campaigner, Business, Music and the Global Achievement Award.
Dame Helen Mirren was named the Greatest Briton in Film. She paid homage to the queen - who she portrayed in hit movie ‘The Queen’ - saying: ‘She deserves to win. She has dedicated her life to Britain.’ Real Madrid football star David Beckham flew from Spain to the ceremony to collect the Global Achievement Award.
Other winners included TV comic Ricky Gervais, explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes, singer Amy Winehouse and fashion designer Giles Deacon.

Japan’s Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko arrived in Sweden to begin their 10-day European tour yesterday (21.05.07). The royals were met and greeted by Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria and Culture Minister Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth when they landed in Stockholm.
Akihito and his wife travelled to country to join in celebrations marking 300 years since the birth of noted scientist Carl Linnaeus, who invented the current system of naming organisms. Japan’s premiere royal couple begin their official tour today (22.05.07), and are scheduled to meet King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia. Keen marine biologist Akihito has been an honorary member of the UK-based Linnean Society of London, set up in tribute to the late researcher, since 1986.
The emperor said he was delighted to take part in the festivities in tribute to Linnaeus, largely regarded as one of Sweden’s most famous scientists, which are set to begin tomorrow (23.05.07).
He and Michiko will attend a memorial service at Uppsala Cathedral before joining their Nordic hosts for a banquet at the town’s castle.
Following their stay in Sweden, the emperor and empress are due to visit Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia and then the UK where further Linnaeus-related events are set to take place.
Akihito, 72, told reporters before departing from Tokyo: ‘I hope this visit serves to enhance the mutual understanding and friendly ties.’

Staff at London’s Madame Tussauds museum took every effort to ensure the updated statue was as environmentally friendly as the 58-year-old royal himself.
A source told Britain’s Daily Express newspaper: ‘Tussauds thought it would be appropriate to ensure our Prince Charles was green.
‘His face was re-sculptured using the original model, the body was recycled and clay - a natural material - and beeswax, as well as organic pigment, was used.’ The green creative process even involved designers rejecting cars in favour of bicycles for their journeys from the central London attraction to the museum’s studio in Acton, west London.
The source added: ‘There is a fair bit of to-ing and fro-ing between central London and Acton so everybody involved cut out car travel wherever possible and got on their bikes.’ The new Charles waxwork is to be unveiled tomorrow (23.05.07).
Keen environmentalist Charles is an ardent campaigner on green issues, and was awarded the 10th annual Global Environmental Citizen Award from Harvard Medical School’s Centre for Health and the Global Environment earlier this year.

The British prince - who is president of the Cutty Sark Trust - wants to see for himself the wreckage of the 19th Century ship which tragically suffered serious fire damage in a suspected arson attack yesterday morning (21.05.07).
A Buckingham Palace spokeswoman said: ‘The duke was sorry to hear of the fire, this sad setback to an important example of our national maritime heritage. ‘The duke takes a close interest in historic ships and their preservation for future generations and as president of the Cutty Sark Trust since 2000 he has been working closely with them in support of their fundraising.’ Chief executive of the Cutty Sark Trust Richard Doughty has called for help to raise money to restore the ship.
The tea clipper - which still holds the record for sailing from Britain to Australia in just 72 days in 1885 - sits in a dry dock in Greenwich, south London.
The prince was scheduled to accompany his wife Queen Elizabeth to open a new planetarium and education centre at the nearby Royal Observatory and National Maritime Museum. He will now visit the ship’s remains after his previously arranged engagement.
Philip helped form the Cutty Sark Society in 1951 and the partner trust has raised £18 million towards a £25 million restoration of the ship, which was due to reopen to the public in November 2009. Fortunately more than half the ship, including the masts, had been dismantled and taken off site to be restored and were therefore not damaged by the fire.

One garden designer, Isabelle van Groeningen, said Charles was ‘particularly interested in the grasses’.
While Camilla - wearing a patterned shawl over a two-piece lilac jacket and skirt - was taken with sculptures of flowering grass.
Queen Elizabeth was handed an orange and blue bird of paradise flower and a burgundy arum lily during her walk round the pavilion.
Britain’s Princess Alexandra and the Prince and Princess Michael of Kent also took in some of the colourful attractions.
Meanwhile, Prince Charles has commissioned a piano concerto in honour of the late Queen Mother, his grandmother. Written by composer Nigel Hess, the 23-minute piece is in three movements said to reflect key traits of the Queen Mother’s personality. The piece will premiere in July at a concert organised by Music in Country Churches, of which Prince Charles is a patron.

‘Escape from Tehran’ focuses on the true story of the CIA using a fake Hollywood movie project to smuggle a handful of Americans out of Tehran during the 1979 hostage crisis.
Clooney will write the script with Grant Heslov - who he penned ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ with - and the movie will be produced by the pair’s Smoke House company, which was set up last year. It is yet to be confirmed whether Clooney will also be starring in the project.
Warner Bros. secured the rights to an article on the undercover operation written by Joshua Bearman for Wired magazine. ‘Escape from Tehran’ is Clooney’s third foray into the CIA world. He starred as a CIA agent in 2005 film ‘Syriana’, and is currently working with the Coen brothers on ‘Burn After Reading’, a black comedy about a CIA agent who loses the transcript of his book.

Mira Sorvino ‘hates’ being a working mother. The Oscar winning actress says juggling her career and looking after her children makes her feel so guilty it "kills" her.
Mira told People magazine: "I hate it. I feel so guilty because my kids cry so hard when I go to work. "I know there are millions and millions of working women out in the world who face this same dilemma, but it just kind of kills me, and I don’t know what to do about it." Mira, 39, and her actor husband Christopher Backus, have two children – Mattea Angel, two and 11-month-old Johnny.
Mira recently had the inside of her trailer made "kid-friendly" so her children could join her while filming. She said: "I’ve tried to make it as much fun for them as possible on the set. I got all these things to make the trailer as fun and club-housey as possible. "I made a tent with fabric, bought a beanbag chair and put together an art table where my daughter could paint. But days on the set are a minimum of 12 hours and that’s hard for them." Keen animal rights activist Mira confessed she would love to give up working and focus on being a full-time mother if she could afford to. She said: "I’d love it if I was independently wealthy and could stop acting and just focus on being a mom and activism."

The country singer, who married Nicole Kidman last year, has denied reports the actress is pregnant with their first child, but admits he can’t wait to start a family Keith, 39, said in a magazine interview: ‘I’m really looking forward to becoming a dad. Next year actually would be lovely.’ The musician admits it can be difficult having a long-distance relationship - Nicole is currently shooting a new film in Australia while Keith remains in the US - but insists the couple are willing to make it work.

He said: ‘I’ve had a good long run of being at home, particularly in Sydney with my wife. We have breakfast in the morning, then she will go to work and we’ll have dinner in the evening. ‘She cooks a little bit. But I like being supportive, it makes me happy.’

Victoria Beckham is set to make her US TV debut at the MTV Movie Awards next month. The former Spice Girl, who is determined to conquer the US when she and husband David move to Los Angeles in the summer, has confirmed she is to present an award at the California bash on June 4.
Victoria will join a host of Hollywood stars in presenting an award at the Gibson Theatre, including Cameron Diaz, Bruce Willis and Lindsay Lohan.
Victoria, 33, and 32-year-old David are set to move to Los Angeles permanently in July, when the soccer ace’s contract with Real Madrid runs out. David will then take up his new post at US soccer team Los Angeles Galaxy. Victoria, who recently dyed her brunette hair blonde, has spent the past few months house-hunting in Beverley Hills ahead of the move.

Bach filed her own divorce claim the next day. The pair have battled over finances and custody of their daughters ever since.

The hotel heiress will be provided with a panic device giving her a 24-hour link to prison guards in case she encounters trouble when she begins her prison sentence next month, according to Britain’s The Sun newspaper.
Hilton must report to Century Regional Detention Centre in Los Angeles by June 5 after she was found guilty of driving with a suspended licence.
As well as being tagged with an alarm ‘The Simple Life’ star will be kept in the prison’s ’special needs’ unit, which is reserved for police officers, public officials, celebrities and other high-profile inmates.
The 26-year-old has made it known she is "really scared" by the prospect of going to jail. Her sentence has already been cut from 45 to 23 days for "good behaviour", despite the fact that she has yet to begin serving it.
Hilton’s mother Kathy called her daughter’s imprisonment "horrendous" but added: "Hopefully young people who look up to Paris will learn from this." The socialite’s representatives last week announced that she was dropping plans to appeal against her sentence.
