LATEST: Photographer LARRY BIRKHEAD has blasted claims he abused late model ANNA NICOLE SMITH.
Smith’s former bodyguard Alex Denk claimed Smith was abused by her ex-boyfriend Birkhead after an argument last year (06).
However, Birkhead, who DNA tests revealed was the father of Smith’s daughter seven-month-old Dannielynn last month (10Apr07), refutes the claims.
He says, "I’ve spoken to him about that, and it’s not true. There was no abuse. Plus, he wasn’t there. It was a simple argument when we were in South Carolina.
"If Anna wanted to go somewhere, she would knock me down and go. There was no abuse or being held against her will."

ANGELINA JOLIE is set to take a year-long break from acting.
The Tomb Raider star wants to spend quality time with her family - husband Brad Pitt, and children Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh - away from the pressures of work.
She says, "I’m working this summer. I’m in Prague for a few months, then I take two months off, then I work for two months. And then I take a year off." Despite Jolie’s claims, she has recently signed to star in two films The Changeling and Atlas Shrugged, which are scheduled to release next year (08).

The multi-talented actress is working towards gaining her licence - just like husband Brad Pitt - but admits she’ll need more practice before taking to the skies with Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh in tow.
She says, "Brad has his pilot’s license and I just got my instrument rating, so we’re moving forward with that but we haven’t had a lot of time because of the kids and with Pax coming home.

Bollywood star SANJAY GUPTA is attempting to win back his estranged wife ANU, by bombarding her with poetry.
Gupta has used the couple’s separation to inspire the poems, which he also plans to use in forthcoming autobiographical film Alibaug.
The Guptas have been separated for several years - but recent rumours suggest they are close to reuniting.
The Kante actor/director says, "The only way I can express myself is through poetry. I’ve written quite a lot of poems for her, something I wouldn’t do for any one else in the world. So if people find my poetic efforts in Alibaug bad, they would know whom to blame.
"I’d love to have her back. As I grow older I do feel the need to find my roots again. And Anu is very much part of my roots. I can’t say I haven’t made mistakes. And she had every right to leave me. But now I’ve every right to want her back. My footloose days are over."

LATEST: Spanish singer ISABEL PANTOJA has made a victorious return to the stage after her spell in jail.
The flamenco star spent a night in jail earlier this month (May07) after being arrested for suspected money laundering and tax evasion.
Pantoja’s arrest was part of a police operation against corruption on Spain’s Costa del Sol, which has resulted in the arrest of more than 1,000 people and the seizure of goods worth more than $3.2 billion (£1.6 billion).
She was freed on a $122,500 (£61,250) bond and wowed 20,000 fans at Plaza Mayor in Vallodolid, Spain on 12 May.
Pantoja’s partner - former Marbella mayor Julian Munoz - has been held in prison since his arrest last July (06), accused of bribery and embezzlement of public funds.

DURAN DURAN drummer ROGER TAYLOR wed his Peruvian fiancee GISELLA BERNALES in a romantic Caribbean wedding earlier this month (May07).
The Rio hitmaker, 47, and Bernales, 35, married in the Jalousie Plantation in St Lucia on 12 May (07) and were joined by Duran Duran bandmembers Simon Le Bon, John Taylor and Nick Rhodes.
The couple started dating in 2005 after meeting in Washington D.C., where Bernales’ father Fernando was based as a diplomat.
The pair were attended to by Bernales’ sisters Giuliana and Melissa and Taylor’s teenage daughter Ellea as bridesmaids.
This is the second marriage for Taylor, who has three children with his ex-wife Giovanna, who he divorced in 2004 after 20 years.

PRINCE is to planning to mark his upcoming 49th birthday with a seven-week residency at Hollywood party palace the Roosevelt Hotel.
The pop superstar, who dazzled Las Vegas with a string of regular shows late last year (06), is hoping to perform for stars, VIPs and fans for seven consecutive Friday nights starting on 15 June (07).
The residency is subject to contracts being signed, according to newspaper the Los Angeles Times.
The midnight shows will be held in the Roosevelt’s intimate Blossom Room, where Prince will perform for just 350 guests.
After the weekly shows, Prince’s personal chef Lena Morgan will take over the Roosevelt’s Dakota restaurant to host an after - hours dinner club.
The concert/restaurant concept is similar to 3121 nightclub Prince created at the Rio hotel & casino in December for his residency there.
The busy star, who turns 49 next month (Jun07), last week announced plans for a concert series this summer in the Hamptons, and two weeks ago, he released details of a 21-date summer residency at London’s 02 Arena.
