HARRIS WAS OFFERED PIRATES ROLE ON THE SPOT

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 6:43 pm

British actress NAOMIE HARRIS impressed movie bosses at her audition for PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN so much, they offered her a role on the spot.
The star, who plays Jamaican voodoo princess Tia Dalma in the second and third installments of the swashbuckling series, was an outsider for the part until she met film bosses.
She says, "I didn’t know it when I went for the first audition, but the director didn’t want me - he wanted an older actress.
"When I walked in, he said in this rather bored way, ‘OK, lets get going you may have to do this three or four times.’ And so I read it once and he was like, ‘How would you like to come to the Bahamas and play Tia Dalma?’ It was fantastic."
