Shop lift
A German woman has admitted driving her son to rob a shop.
Daniela Langer, 36, from Dresden, was horrified when she discovered her 18-year-old son Marcel was planning to target a jewellery store.
Unable to change his mind, Daniela decided to drive her son to the scene of the crime and act as look-out because she was "worried" about his safety.
She told a court: "He was determined to do it and I could not talk him out of it, so I offered to drive him there to keep an eye on him. I was worried about him." Marcel and two male accomplices broke into the store and stole £25,000 worth of jewellery.
Daniela learned of Marcel’s plan when she went to a DIY store with him and he asked her to get him some rope and duct tape.
The trial continues.
