Lost licence
A Bulgarian student lost her driver’s licence three hours after passing her test because she was driving drunk.
Police in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia, pulled over Kristina Andreeva, 23, for erratic driving.
A breath rest revealed she and her instructor, Ivan Filin, 48, who had joined her for a celebratory drink, were three times over the legal limit.
Andreeva said: "I had promised to buy him a drink if I got my licence and we went to a café, had a couple of wines and then offered to drive him home. I was so happy I just didn’t think about the drink drive rules." Filin’s licence was taken away. He was also stripped of his business licence as a driving instructor because he encouraged drink-driving.
