IKE TURNER IN JAIL ON OUTSTANDING DRUG CHARGES
Veteran soul star IKE TURNER is in police custody without bail in Los Angeles after cops pulled him over on suspicion of speeding and found he was wanted on an outstanding drugs charge.
The 75-year-old, the former husband of singer Tina Turner, was allegedly clocked driving his Mercedes at 80 miles per hour and straddling lanes on the 405 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley at 11.45pm last night (15May07).
When police stopped him, they discovered Turner had an outstanding no-bail felony drugs warrant and arrested him. He was then booked at the city’s Twin Towers jail.
