DAVID HASSELHOFF has been treated in hospital for alcohol poisoning 12 to 13 times, according to his ex-wife PAMELA BACH.
Bach’s revelations follow the release of a video of the former Baywatch star earlier this month (May07), struggling to eat a hamburger while drunk and hurling expletives at his teenage daughter, who was filming him.
She tells American magazine Us Weekly, "He has been to the emergency room at least 12 to 13 times at Cedars-Sinai (Los Angeles hospital) - under aliases for alcohol poisoning. He’s been through three rehabs - in 2001, 2002, and 2004." But Hasselhoff’s lawyer Melvin Goldsman denies both claims.
The couple were married for 16 years before divorcing in July 2006 because of Hasselhoff’s problems with alcohol.
Bach adds, "He was my best friend, and I was lucky to marry the love of my life. But over time, the disease eroded the relationship.
"(The children) absolutely love their father. They just want him to get better."

JENNIFER GARNER is venturing into the world of talk shows - with her own TV programme for mothers, by mothers.
The Elektra star gave birth to her first child, daughter Violet Anne, with husband Ben Affleck in December 2005, and is keen to share parenting tips with other mothers on her own chat show.
Garner is pitching the idea to a number of US TV networks with former So You Think You Can Dance host Lauren Sanchez-Whitesell, who will front the programme.
Sanchez-Whitesell says, "It’s really (Jennifer’s) show and I’m the host.
"We’re pitching it next week to a network. I call Jen the Barbara Walters (veteran chat show host) of the show. She will come on periodically. We haven’t quite settled exactly (how often), but she’s the executive producer."

LATEST: Tragic model ANNA NICOLE SMITH left $710,000 (£355,000) to her late son Daniel in her will.
Smith’s companion Howard K. Stern filed her will - written six years ago - on Monday (14May07) and is asking for probate on the document.
Smith’s nine-month-old daughter Dannielynn is not mentioned in the will and the tot’s father, photographer Larry Birkhead is seeking guardianship of the little girl’s estate.
Stern’s petition asks a judge to recognise him as the will’s main executor and names Dannielynn as Smith’s survivor.
Once probate in granted, Dannielynn is expected to inherit the model’s estate in a trust until she is older and also could potentially inherit the estate of Smith’s late husband J. Howard Marshall II, which could be worth up to $500 million (£250 million).
Daniel, 20, died in September (06) in the Bahamas just three days after Smith gave birth to his half-sister.
The former Playboy model died on 8 February in a Florida hotel suite of an accidental drug overdose.

LATEST: PAMELA ANDERSON is heading to Cannes to attend the world premiere of her latest movie BLONDE & BLONDER - just one week after she declared she was snubbing the French festival to spend time with her kids.
Last week (09May07), Anderson dismissed rumours she was going to the Cannes Film Festival to promote the comedy - written by the Baywatch star’s brother Gerry Anderson - insisting she was holding her own premiere in bed with her sons Brandon, 10, and Dylan, nine.
But the 39-year-old has now changed her mind, and will make an appearance at the film’s world premiere.
Writing on her official website, she says, "Now I am off to Cannes to support my brother’s movie Blonde & Blonder. Just for one day. It worked out." Blonde & Blonder will open at Cannes on Friday (18May07).

TOM CRUISE and producing partner PAULA WAGNER are to make a sequel to the 1996 classic The Birdcage.
The Hollywood actor’s studio United Artists will produce the second installment of the MGM film about a gay cabaret owner and his drag queen boyfriend who act heterosexual in a bid to impress their son’s future in-laws.
Wagner told an MGM conference, "We are in the early stages of making a sequel to the Birdcage." The Birdcage, starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane as the gay couple, was a comedy remake of 1978 French movie La Cage Aux Folles (The Cage Of Fools).

SIR PAUL McCARTNEY has confessed THE BEATLES classic album SGT. PEPPER’S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND was heavily influenced by ELVIS PRESLEY.
The music legend reveals The Beatles wrote the 1967 LP, using the concept of a band, so they would not have to go on tour - an idea they obtained from Presley.
McCartney says, "We had this idea that we’d make a record, and the record itself would go on tour for us.
"That came from a story we’d heard about Elvis’ Cadillac going on tour. We though that was an amazing idea: He doesn’t go on tour, he just sends his Cadillac out. Fantastic!"

BEYONCE KNOWLES’ father MATHEW has invested in a line of children’s toys with an urban theme.
The Music World Entertainment founder teamed up with Planet Toys to create a hip-hop inspired toy line, called Baby Jamz - because there are no children’s toys that reflect urban society.
He says, "There is a real opportunity for us to make a benchmark here." The brand - which will be fronted by Beyonce’s nephew Juelz - will be supported by a hip-hop CD series.

JESSICA SIMPSON’s manager father JOE has given his personal approval to his daughter’s romance with JOHN MAYER, insisting he is a "big fan" of the Grammy-winning star.

THE TERMINATOR is heading for the small screen - in a sci-fi spin-off entitled The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
The series - developed by the American Fox network - is inspired by the 1991 movie Terminator 2: Judgement Day, which saw Arnold Schwarzenegger star as a cyborg sent back from the future to kill the young John Connor, played by Edward Furlong.
The Sarah Connor Chronicles follows the title character fighting to protect herself and her 10-year-old son John, from a new breed of robotic enemies.
The announcement of the new TV spin-off follows the news last week (begs07May07) that California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger will appear in digital form in a fourth installment of the Terminator movies.

The manager of South Korean movie star KWON SANG-WOO has been jailed for blackmailing the actor.
The defendant - a former gangster identified by his family name Paek - was found guilty of threatening Kwon with disclosures about his private life in an attempt to secure a lucrative business contract and was jailed for eight months yesterday (16May07).
It is the second case involving Kwon - in February (07) prosecutors indicted Kim Tae-Chon, a gang leader already serving a prison term for bribery, for trying to force Kwon to attend a fans’ meeting in Japan organised by Kim’s friend.

LATEST: Ex-convict socialite PATTY HEARST was amused by reports she had offered PARIS HILTON advice prior to her jail time, insisting she really feels sorry for the reality TV star’s future cellmates.
Hearst was infamously jailed in 1976 after being found guilty of accompanying her kidnappers on a bank robbery - her seven year prison sentence was commuted when then-US President Jimmy Carter intervened after 22 months.
Hilton is set to start her 45 day sentence for violating her probation following her 2006 drink-driving arrest next month (Jun07).
Earlier this week (ends18May07), Hearst denied she was counselling Hilton following her conviction, with the hotel heiress’ mother Kathy claims it was Hearst’s sister Anne providing the support.
Hearst tells TMZ.com, "I must say that my heart goes out to the inmates of the Century Regional Detention Center. Forty-five days with Paris Hilton and the attendant publicity seems like cruel and unusual punishment to me. Perhaps they should be petitioning the governor (Arnold Schwarzenegger) for relief? "OK, that wasn’t nice. But seriously, if Paris really wants my advice, it’s this: Read Candy Spelling’s letter several times and take her advice to heart." Spelling wrote to Hilton through TMZ.com earlier this week, saying, "I am sorry you have been sentenced to jail. I can’t think of too much that would be worse. But since you let this happen, use the next couple of weeks… by looking around, realising that you are not as truly entitled as your money implies.
"You are a young woman who can add more to her community than establishing new definitions for infamy."

LATEST: GIRLS GONE WILD creator JOE FRANCIS has been moved from his Florida jail cell to a prison in Nevada, where he is to face charges of tax fraud of the sum of $20 million ($10 million).
Francis was relocated to Reno, Nevada, after completing a 35-day sentence at Jackson County Jail following his conviction for shouting abuse at seven women during recent settlement talks.
The women had taken legal action against Francis for allegedly filming them in sexual situations while underage at Panama City Beach in 2003.
He is now facing up to 10 years in jail and fines of up to $500,000 (£250,000) if he is found guilty of two counts of falsifying tax returns, in which he is alleged to have deliberately understated his income by $1 million (£500,000) from 2002 to 2003.
He is due in court on Tuesday (22May07) to answer the accusations.
Francis’ defence attorney Larry Simpson says, "Once the prosecution is complete in Nevada, he would be returned to Florida." The 34-year-old faces further charges of sexual battery in Florida, which relate to a January (07) incident at a birthday party in Hollywood, where he allegedly touched an 18-year-old woman’s breast, buttocks and inner thigh several times, despite being asked repeatedly to stop.

Former DARKNESS frontman JUSTIN HAWKINS believes the UK failed to win the Eurovision Song Contest because the act was "rubbish".
The singer - who competed against other acts to represent the UK’s entry on the BBC TV programme Making Your Mind Up - says European voters were correct not to crown Scooch the winners.
He says, "I think Scooch lost because they were rubbish.
"The BBC shouldn’t have put it forward. It was supposed to be different this year. The clues in the title, Eurovision Song Contest. It should have been a song." The contest, which took place in Helsinki, Finland, was won by Marija Serifovic from Serbia and watched by an estimated 100 million viewers.

Grammy Award-winning singer CIARA has become the new face of JAY-Z’s Rocawear line for women.
The new campaign, titled I Will Not Lose, will feature testimonials by individuals who have overcome various hardships - including a speech by Amy Steele, editor of the Virginia Tech’s college newspaper.
The 21-year-old star celebrated the deal with an intimate dinner with the hip-hop mogul and rapper Young Jeezy in New York City last night (16May07).

Rap moguls SHAWN ‘JAY-Z’ CARTER and SEAN ‘DIDDY’ COMBS were closely monitored by the New York Police Department (NYPD) months before they attended a demonstration in the city in 2004 - surveillance which has been deemed "unlawful".
The details of the NYPD operation were revealed in a 600-page top secret document, which was released yesterday (16May07) by the New York Civil Liberties Union (NYCLU). The Union is suing the authorities on behalf of those demonstrators arrested at the event.
The NYPD is accused of recording information about activity that was completely peaceful and legal.
The documents state that rapper LL Cool J and singer Alicia Keys were also spied on by the authorities in the weeks leading up to their attendance of the Republican National Convention.
Donna Lieberman, executive director of the NYCLU, tells AllHipHop.com, "These documents paint a picture of a surveillance program that was broad, clumsy, and often unlawful.
"The NYPD failed to differentiate between unlawful behaviour and behaviour that is not only lawful but should in fact be cherished and protected. Today the public can finally bear witness to that failure."

Rapper MASE was involved in a car crash in Atlanta, Georgia, last week (11May07) as he allegedly attempted to pick up a transvestite.
The G-Unit affiliate is reported to have been driving around the Spring Street area in Atlanta just after midnight on Friday, trying to look for a companion for the night.
But Mase - a born-again Christian who is also known as Dr. Mason Betha - ran into trouble when he crashed into the back of a woman’s Range Rover.
Reports claim officials arrived on the scene shortly after the incident occurred, and Mase refused to co-operate until authorities threatened to impound his car.
The unnamed victim later appeared on local radio station WHTA and told the Ryan Cameron Morning Show, "(The transvestites) came running up to the car saying, ‘Girl, girl, we seen what happened, we seen everything!’ "It’s like, five or six of them because they working, so they run up to the car saying, ‘Girl, are you OK? He’s been circling around here like four times already trying to pick one of these queens up.’"
