STALLONE: ‘I MADE A TERRIBLE MISTAKE’

Posted in: Entertainment — PR-inside Entertainment News @ 9:13 am

LATEST: Hollywood star SYLVESTER STALLONE has apologised for bringing banned growth hormone Jintropin into Australia.
The Rocky actor was detained at Sydney airport by customs officials in February (07). They seized his luggage and later raided his hotel room and private jet in search of the substance.
In a letter read yesterday (15May07) to Sydney’s Downing Centre Local Court, Stallone said, "I made a terrible mistake. Not because I was attempting to deceive anyone but I was simply ignorant of your official rules.
"It was a hard-learned lesson and an eye-opener that the world is a complex society, and knowing the rules of your intending destination is of paramount importance. I wish to express my deepest remorse and again apologise." If convicted, the actor faces a fine of $22,000 (£11,000). He is due to be sentenced on Monday (21May07).
The growth hormone at the centre of the legal case is alleged to reduce body fat, build muscle, remove wrinkles and provide a range of anti-ageing benefits.
